The youth is primarily responsible for making or breaking a star now days. However, we live in a generation where the youth does not have the mindset of remaining invested in a particular actor or actress, rather they tend to like films first than the actors it seems and it is extremely transient.
I can give a prime example being taylor swift, who was a youth icon and one of the most successful people alive, but is going through a slow decline majorily because the youth is invested in newer talent. Also "youth", or young people grow up and with age, they become less invested in stars they used to like. The stars they use to like begin to lose their novelty, and they want to watch or listen in this case to someone new or in other cases they just lose interest with time and age.
It seems back in the day even 10 20 years ago, many young people grew up with actors they liked and remained faithful to them for years to no end. Do you think this mindset is a reason why the idea of stardom is fading?
