Did Priyanka make a mistake by leaving BW?

I was just watching Mar Kom, and Priyanka's performance was the main highlight of the film. This lady is versatility incarnated, she can do this kind of movie, an Aitraaz, a 7-khoon Maaf, and a Barfi without flinching.

But that Priyanka is now lost, the actress in her reduced to blink-and-miss performances in the West.

Look at her contemporary Kareena, still going strong and enjoying superstar status, whereas Priyanka has disappeared from people's memories, and is reduced to a trophy wife.

Did she make a mistake by leaving BW? What do you people think? Of course, BW lost a great actress, someone who could give Kangana and Vidya comp. But is the loss going both ways?

She probably doesn't care, coz she went to Hollywood to look for a hubby. 😆

Yeah but what about the ambitious, talented Priyanka? Has she completely disowned that side to herself? After all, love and career can be balanced.

No. She made the smartest descision of her life. Bollywood has nothing more to offer her anymore. She has achieved all that she can there. Its time to move on and combat challenges and help pave way for opportunities and representation for indians and indian actors in the west

There is a huge desi population in the west who are not represented. and im sorry to say BW does not necessarily represent the average indian american.

Also BW is hige on nepotism and treats aging actresses the equivalent to what an outsider would face in Hollywood anyway.

I rather go HW and try new challenges. She's the only actress in BW who goes out of her comfort zone and takes risks.

She has that side still but in hollywood instead. Lets not discredit her because she chose hollywood over bollywood. Although im the last person who likes her.

Not really. It was a smart decision to go West after she crossed her 30s here as roles started to get less interesting. But I think her mistake was in completely disappearing from the BW scene. She could have done 1-2 Bollywood films a year just to keep her visibility afloat in India, which she wasn't able to do. So she's only visible to the elite 5% Indians who watch English movies/shows or follow Western media.

But all in all, still a good decision. She dabbled in music and TV before getting into mainstream HW but she will get there eventually. All she needs is a few solid supporting roles in mainstream HW films and she will be good to go.

You have this same topic every month and like always I’ll say no she didn’t make any mistake. Priyanka’s smart and knows what she’s doing. She’s already achieved so much in Bollywood... big films, self led films, National Award, Padmashri, popular and versatile. There’s nothing new there. Whereas Hollywood is a challenge... with risk there’s reward. I think her project with Russo Brothers is pretty major, she’s the lead along with Richard Madden. It’s better to explore Hollywood and make her path than taking it easy in Bollywood

She's still very ambitious and in fact I feel she works harder now. Ambitious does not always translate into instant gratification espeically in Hollywood where she has to work get what she wants. The most talented people are often never recognized. thats the way the world works

She did the same in BW in the beginning of her career. She has always fought through obstacles and really earned where she is today

She's already signed a web series with the Russo Brothers (which could even help her get something big like the MCU). Also she is a part of The Matrix. PC knows how to socialise and make her way through. I am sure post lockdown there'll be some more announcements.

She's hustled for years, had BWood industry insiders give her the cold shoulder so she definitely deserves the break she is taking now. And ofc after years of working hard, she deserves settling down. I dislike when people talk like she slowed down on purpose.

I hated what KJo and group did to her, and now look at them sucking up to her after she went to the West and now became Mrs Jonas. I would have never imagined Kareena sharing the couch with PC on KWK.
