From Jalwa, one of my favourite films. Remo Fernandes is rocking it.

Jalwa was Naseeruddin Shah's debut in commercial Bollywood.

And 5 minutes of Archana Puransingh.

Urmila Matondkar did a similar number in Rangeela .

But I think Archana Puransingh did it far better.

Remo's music was far better than A.R.Rehman's.

No way.

Rangeela >>>>>

But Naseer looked hot. So he can be better than Jackie. But in every other department Rangeela trumps this movie.

The comparison seems to be between two songs and not movies. Jalwa and Rangeela are two completely different movies.

The difference is between taking and cinematography. Dekho Dekho was superior in taking and cinematography.

Pankaj Parashar has presented Archana Puran Singh in a great way than RGV could Urmila Matondkar.

Look at the way camera is moving, it gives the impression that Archana Puransingh is moving great though she is not. That is what a good director and cinematographer can do.

Regarding music Remo trumps Rehman easily, both in short version and longer version. I doubt if Rehman can ever pull off an 17 minute version of any song. Remo was in his element at that time.

Jalwa garnered some hype at that time as Naseeruddin Shah jumped the Parallel cinema ship, foulf mouthing it and joined the bollywood. It was a good film and had some similarities with Eddie Murphy's Beverly Hills Cop

Yes, the comparison is between the two songs and not movies. Both are seafront sequences.

Pankaj Parashar is truly a genius and highly underrated. I have heard so much about the original Karamchand and its camera work being phenomenal. I hope DD airs it during Quarantine like they brought back Byomkesh Bakshi.

Archana was not a better dancer than Urmila but the filming is great honestly. I wish Pankaj P would've made more films, esp after Chaalbaaz. He is a gem who never got his due.

He did give some marvelous movies.

He also directed Madhuri Dixit-anil Kapoor hit starer Rajkumar in 1996. Payal Meri jaadu jagati was quite a hit. Payal meri was said to copied from Gorge Michael's Faith but it seems more like a bit of an inspiration than a copy.

Jalwa was written by Kamlesh Pandey who also wrote four of Madhuri Dixit movies out of which 2 were blockbusters while other two were hits.
