Jhanvi Kapoor is going to be the next Alia?!

1. Atrocious acting in debut -- I’ve seen her performance in Dhadak and to be honest, she is not even average when it comes to acting! Same with Alia, she was equally bad in her debut but plum projects kept falling in her lap!

2. Career curated by KJO-- He's already signed her for Takht and is producing her next Gunjan Saxena. She's become his blue-eyed girl.

3. Female-centric film at an early stage in career-- No-one would have expected Alia to sign Highway after a below-average debut. But there she was, doing a Highway which is an important film for any actress. Janu is getting the same privileges, getting female-centric project in her kitty despite lack of acting skills.

4. Both are ordinary looking - Both lack the persona of the mainstream heroine, they are both ordinary lookers and have no star aura or personality. This is glossed over by calling them 'cute' and 'girl-next-door' which is basically to divert attention from their lack of charm.

5. To be frank, Alia was accepted by audiences but Janu has yet to pass the acid test. This is where Janu is still too new but rest, similarities are glaring.

5 years from now all star kids will be following the same “path to success”right after alia. Alia being the herd of the pack. Bollywood will become irrelevant if it goes this way, If they keep riding on mediocracy. and these entitled industry insiders will still behave as the world revolves around them, and submit overrated films like gully boy to the oscars. while the world would have moved on. It may be this quarantine time period. But I’ve definitely noticed a disinterest and a path of decline on their part. If you ask me Priyanka Chopra made the smartest decision to get the h*ll out and push her limits because BW does not care about casting people who are deserving and at the end of the day is too engraved in its deep rooted culture of familial lineage and nepotism.

...on topic of jhanvi’s talent, it doesn’t matter if she’s talented or not. She has backing by dharma and kjo evidently. She has a solid PR and media attention. That’s all you need.
