I think her skill level as an actress is very high. She is not on kangana or vidyas level of what she has shown though even with ishaqzaade, HTP..even though she was very good in those films. She is a hidden talent in that her potential is not out yet. and she will soar with opportunities, on the acting front. I dont think her recent films are great at all. But we dont know what opportunties she's being offered.

If she didnt have her upcoming filmography, I would not really care for her. But the fact that she is making changes in the content. I do see her as a promsing actress and a threat to these new generation actresses who are becoming popular without having an inch of talent. Parineeti is talented. Although her recent films have really overtooken any sort of potential she showed at the begininning of her career.

I agree she put on a bit of "filmy" acting in it. Instead of being the character, she did add some flamboyancy to her character which was distracting. Her emotional scenes, though, pitch perfect-not taken into account the ott acting in some part. Ayushmann did not do this, so it was not flowing very well. I give her the benefit of the doubt since she was coming from a break or whatever. Hopefully she learned from that. I found her highly impressive in the sandeep trailer, but that movie wont perform well I take it.

So bored of people calling her "bubbly".

What is "bubbly"? Was she "bubbly" in Hasee Toh Phasee? No.

Female characters have grown and changed more since mid/late-2000s than any other 10-15 year period. These girls are CONFIDENT.

Nobody cares to call Salman or Akshay or Shah Rukh or Ranveer "bubbly boys" just because they walk around like confident male men super hero king dons?!?!

Audience need to fix up. Look at Parineeti's and even Anushka's so-called "bubbly" characters. The nuances that these girls brought to the table is astounding. Call yourselves film fans? I lol/despair.

I think people confuse her off screen personality with her characters? Isnt she quite loud and bubbly as a person..so when she has this personality on screen. they think she is playing the same character.

In all honesty, her characters were written as being bubbly. be it LVRB or MPB, her charcter is supposed to be lively or "bubbly" in a way. Her potential lies in her ability to not be bubbly when she is given characters with more depth. She was super good in Ishaqzaade, HTP. I dont think she was bubbly in those roles. But if she is not given a variety of films to show different sides to her..its difficult to detect her range. She was good in kesari too. wasnt bubbly at all.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you were open minded. Whenever I bring this angle, people are usually dismissive.

Yes, Parineeti's personality is "lively" and she comes across as positive and confident. That shows on screen too. But there is certainly an element of misogyny when we hear people say "all her roles are bubbly, she has no range". Same is said for Anushka. But if we take a closer look at their "bubbly" roles we will see how much depth they bring, both ladies have immense talent.

And I know both have said that they consciously want to and are drawn to confident characters. Good on them. We need to catchup.

Parineeti could have been the next big thing. She was so spontaneous and natural in her first films Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Ishaqzaade. Both characters were confident, impulsive but were willing to stand by their choices and work hard by fair or foul means to reach their objective. But it would take a miracle for her to catch up to Alia now. Her upcoming projects do not give me much confidence. Yet another biopic on yet another sportswoman. It was novel when Priyanka did it. But it's been done to death. And Girl on a train is yet another female lead project. And the subject is too American. What Pari needs to balance these two is a typical mainstream movie with a bankable male co-star.One which has a sizeable role for her. Not another Kesari or Golmaal.

No. far from their league.. Although she had huge potential but she seems to have lost her appeal and acting chops too.
