This whole scene & RK's acting never fails to move me and make me cry. What supreme level of acting. Barfi's hurt, pain, dejection, frustration, anguish upon learning his love Shruti is getting married to another person and he expresses why she's choosing him over Barfi through his hand gestures and facial expressions is cuz he's rich, can speak but he's deaf and mute 💔

This is the best he's ever acted in a solo scene in his entire career alongwith mirror scenes & final monologue of Tamasha followed by Sanju's conversation with his dad's spirit right after his death.

As a fan I hope he continues to act in roles like these & does off-beat films like Rocket Singh, Barfi, Rockstar, Tamasha, Jagga Jasoos in b/w his commercial films in upcoming years. I don't want him to go completely commercial route due the fear of facing failure again cause he faced it few yrs ago. Cause he was the one who started the trend of mixing and balancing off-beat films and commercial films in the last decade. I hope he won't completely let go of off-beat films.

well I know. I'm not happy with him passing on two off-beat projects like Udam Singh and Maneckshaw biopic. He took down Rakesh Sharma biopic too

Ranbir Kapoor is such a good actor but his off screen shenanigans have made so many people dislike/hate him and I'm one of them. As much as I dislike him for the kind of person he is, I never hold myself back to admit that he is far superior in terms of acting than any of his contemporaries. Peole have just made an image of him in their minds and deliberately ignore the kind of good work he has done so far. In his worst of movies, I still find him tolerable, of course there are always some exceptions.

Barfi talks a lot of his Calibre (PC too but for now I'll just talk about RK). It's really difficult to get people connect to a character without uttering a single word, all he did was through his expressions. Loved him in WUS too, really under appreciated movie that is. I also liked JJ, don't know why it didn't work. He did a fab job in Sanju as well though I hate Hirani for white washing the image of Dutt in it but Ranbir kept it as real as he could. I personally feel that the weight gain for the movie hampered his looks off screen and he started looking real bad after that. I want to see him in an action movie too. I think he is under-utilized and can do really more.

I have said this before and will say it again he is the best the industry has got

Nobody absolutely no other actor can convey so many emotions so beautifully in a single scene

And i don't think he looks bad at all sure people do try to pass him as ugly by posting his pictures with prosthetic on but if one actually see his recent outings he looks sexy as hell!!

He is one of the finest actors we have currently..

His off-screen image worked against him but don't think the success or failure of his movies is related to that..it's tough luck.

Hope we get to see many more heart touching acts for him.

Like both the leads in barfi..pc is my other fav

Barfi changed my perception about ranbir. Didn't care much about his work until barfi happened. What a performance! It's one of my fav Indian movies

He never got bad reviews for a single film he's acted in so far! Even when the films were bashed but his performance inspite of films receiving flak critically or in box office wise, his performance didn't get.

His look started deteriorating post 2015 I feel. He still looked great in ADHM promotions tho. But he looked real good in 2018 post Sanju release when he went onto Bulgaria for Bramahstra schedule. But he had to shoot simultaneously for Bramahstra and ShamShera where he had to put on & lose weight every week that's what majorly affected his face. I guess his face is never gonna get back to YJHD days!

JJ's 2nd half editing wasn't crisp enough. It should've been tighter. Screenplay was all over the place at one point & looked disjointed. But it was a good movie.

He's not ugly for sure like he's made out to be although I agree he doesn't look as good now as he used to. But yea people are overly critical of his looks. Or posting pics deliberately from bad camera angles or when his hair is styled badly or too much tanning on face. Like unadulterated hatred!

He looked great here tho.

I liked his look in 2018 Man of The Year Vogue photoshoot too.
