Deepika vs. Sonam

Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor debuted on the same day. Why has one gone on to become a flop while the other is arguably one of Bollywood's biggest heroines?

Some of the reasons I am listing below --

1.Deepika’s launching vehicle was better, Shahrukh was established star and Deepika was given due credit of success. In contrast whatever goodwill Saawariya had it went to Ranbir.

2.Sonam tried to pull up more weight than her ability initially and couldn’t manage to give solo hits (Something that Vidya or Kangana had managed to pull off.)

3. Deepika has always been a hard worker as a result with time her acting improved as well.

Other reasons???

Deepika’s biggest plus point is the costars she got to act with....At first it was the likes of SRK and Saif and then it was Ranbir,Ranveer,Shahid with an occassional BigB, Irfan and Vikrant - basically always piggy backing on the strong performances of her excellent co-stars which kinda got better visibility for her movies as well as helped her pick herself up....Otherwise, hard work toh sab karte hai bhai!
