Completely 1000% disagree. Because I cannot judge a versatile actor like Ranveer with an actor who plays different ager manchild roles in every movie.

Completely 1000% disagree. Because I cannot judge a versatile actor like Ranveer with an actor who plays different ager manchild roles in every movie.
people saying Ranbir plays the same role, barfi is ver different from yjhd
but he needs to do more movies. him and shahid both need to do more than 1 movie every 2 years
Well no. I would say they sit different types of roles.
Ranveer is very good at boisterous, aggressive, lusty, crude, blabbermouth, romantic type of roles.
Ranbir is very good at romantic, tragedy, goofy happy go lucky guy, womanizer type of roles.
Unless they do the role out of their strength, is unfair to compare.
its like comparing chalk with cheese
Both are good actors no denying but only acting skill not enough else nasseruddin shah, nawazuddin would be super star instead of amitabh bachchan and Salman. I think RK falls even in acting skills especially if he will try same roles as RS. But RS can do most roles of RK easily.
ranbir kapoor(RK) is more a art film actor, his movie is usually for classes not masses
Ranveer Singh is more a commercial actor, his most movies are for masses and few for classes, front benchers
RK does similar acting brooding and sad and heartbroken again and again
RS is more flamboyant and can do action, comedy, drama and historical roles better than RK
RK is less versatile
RS is more versatile from thief to king madly in love to emperor whose weird and psycho to a slum boy to a rich kid etc his range is more than RK
RS has flamboyance and charisma that RK never had or can never have in life because it comes from birth cannot be taught to anyone. Look at his ability to carry those flamboyant clothes RK anyone nahhh look at his ability to entertain crowds outside his gym or house etc can RK do that naah never. Thats flamboyance. Charisma is when you walk into room you lit it up, everyone wants to see you etc can RK do that never only RS can hold an audience attention like that
RS came up hard way so knows life more and chooses scripts that connect with audience
RK is promoted by family name and does not know life outside bollywood so cannot connect with audience easily the mass audience that makes movie hit
People say RK is better actor but i think hes been promoted heavily by family and bollywood and would be a flop actor and disappeared by now if not for support he recieves from bollywood and press.
RS is better actor in most roles and gives more variety and was only promoted by SLB till date.Aditay chopra not really he gave only major flops under him except first movie
RS can do RKs majority roles easily but RK cannot do many roles of RS. Imagine RK as khilji doing khalibhali or RK as bhajirao not possible that flamboyance he does not have to do those roles.
People write scripts for RK because he has Bollywood family connections
With RS hes always got left overs or rejected movies of other stars. Like when no one agrees to do movie it comes to him finally. May be that is why he delivers on them because every movie is like last chance to prove himself and stay relevant in bollywood. Of course now hes more settled and has support of many producers .
I think they are both fine actors, but I find Ranveer more versatile. Of course, that may be just because I haven't seen Ranbir in as many diverse roles yet.
Ranveer easily adopts the linguistics, mannerisms, body language of any character he plays and excels in those roles. I love that we can see his clear distinctions and varied portrayal of characters in different movies while many other actors look like they have gone from one set to another. Some exceptions like those latter yrf movies exist where both the story and characters were substandard. But apart from those I have loved his acting immensely. I am glad that he didn't try to show pretentious external angst---- which is considered as "profound" by a particular section of men in Gullyboy. He enacted the role of a introverted but eager marginalized young guy perfectly without having to have a 360 degree change to a sociable, rebellious, external angsty guy for so called profound character👏There was consistency in his performance.
Ranbir is a nice actor but his roles and movies like Rockstar, Tamasha etc. are lauded as "Deep Cinema" as if playing manchild role and using Ar Rahman's excellent music while showing society hating rebellious streak and overcomplication and external angst (add Rumi's quotes, too) = " Profound and Intense Role" 😆That particular oversmart section will often call us Iacking intelligence to understand such role🤣as if we have not been appreciating truly brillant works of Satyajit Ray and the likes and can differentiate between intelligent cinema and faux deep cinema. I liked his acting in Barfi but seriously Imtiaz Ali's movies are regarded as having immense depth by those especially who have not encoutered ocean so they consider a pond as being deep.

Hahahaha... Good joke..... Thanks for such a hearty laugh early in the morning...
Whatever floats their boat.
Now making threads everyday about how RS is not a good actor.. I smell burnol.
RK cannot portray characters like Bajirao and Khilji or even Simmba. We saw how Besharam turned out.
So let RK stick to what he is comfortable.. Cough manboy roles...

@bold very well said. RS gets into the skin of the character like no other, you do not see a trace of RS in any of the roles he has played. He remains true to the character. A lot of GB's success and the character dynamics work perfectly coz of Ranveer . Had Murad been played differently the sync between Murad and Sher wouldve been off.
RS has proved his mettle with period dramas, subtle characters, OTT characters etc etc.
Well RK has proved himself in.. khair chodo.. manboy with problems...
I see people praising a non actor like KA for his psycho like role in LAK 2. so ccredit goes to imtiaz as well..same over complication of love, rumi, kabir quotes

We also saw how Kill Dill turned out. I can easily see Ranbir doing what Ranveer has done but Ranveer can never do what Ranbir does i.e. elevate ordinary scripts with extraordinary performances.
Just one song and you can see how wonderfully he emotes. It's like he lives the character.
