They will have 2 hit songs (OG song remakes) but I cannot be sure...those songs are hard to recreate and Bagchi can ruin it.

Plus its clashing with Black Widow

Even if Coolie No 1 does well - it won’t do anything for his graph or star value. You can’t be popular doing the same things for almost 10 years at some point you gotta have more to offer - and Varun doesn’t.

We can’t care about openings anymore. There are many factors that go into a films opening.

Sid-Shraddhas Ek Villian opened to 17 cr And Kalank was 21 - but not difference though Kalank also had other stars in the movie too. Badri opened to 12 cr.

You have to look at the films ENTIRE RUN. In the end Badri did more overall business than EV.

Yes end business matters the most, lekin Sindhu ne pucha Kalank ne kiya kya, so Kalank did pulled Varia base, lekin movie hii, akand tatti nikli so good initial pe capatalise nahi kiya.

But a good movie with Aloo and Varun will do great for Varun. He kinda lost his base of young boys and girls, by doing out of his comfort zone movies like October and Sui Dhaga back to back . Plus Kalank's failure, further dragged him down.

He’s been dragged down and will stay there

A Varun Alia movie right now would hurt Alia like Tamasha with Deepika. 2-3 years down, when her career is on the decline, they can make a movie and get a respite hit.

He is just beginning his stardom

I doubt anyone watching Street Dancer went for the plot or acting. If I were to watch in theater, it would be because I felt like having fun watching great dances.

2 problems I could see with it from the trailer.

1. The Indo-Pak angle won't work in this political climate.

2. Varun is supposed to be a good dancer, but he looked totally inept next to Prabhudeva. I have a feeling VD was trying the same trick as Alia in Kalank😂, trying to get the king of dance crown from the previous generation. Neither is close to being as good as PD or MD, and it showed.

Why would anyone watch a dance movie where the lead is clearly not up to par?

No one can save a boring film, they have better success ratio then a lot of hyped pairs.
