Alia has not overtaken Deepika - yet

This forum loves to put Alia on a pedestal. Truth is, she was the weakest link in Kalank, which flopped badly. Also, she just doesn't have the star-quality Deepika has, she's an average looker, average actress and has average screen-presence. Also, she's the worst product of nepotism - she has got all offers on a silver platter, with KJO being her mentor and all.

She has not dethroned Deepika, as some claim. Even Ormax ranks Deepika higher. Let's wait and see how Sadak 2, Brahmastra and Gangubai perform at the box office before making tall claims.

Chhapaak Crashes Further On Day Eight

Chhapaak crashed further on its second Friday with collections of just 75 lakhs nett. The film crashed 40% on Thursday and has gone down another 40% of Friday. Not only that a film like Jai Mummy Di is actually collecting better in most stations of Delhi and Punjab which is a bit embarrassing for a major release like Chhapaak as Jai Mummy Di is one of those films which go unnoticed. Also on top Chhapaak is a concept film which is actually supposed to come into its own post the first weekend but its a totally different for this film as its crashed out post the weekend.

The total collections of the film are now 26.5 crore and it should be able to cross the 30 crore nett mark at the end of week two but that will be about it and nothing much coming after. The collections of Chhapaak till date are as follows.

Friday - 4,50,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 6,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 7,00,00,000 apprx

Monday - 2,00,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 2,25,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 2,25,00,000 apprx

Thursday - 1,25,00,000 apprx

Week One - 25,75,00,000 apprx

Friday - 75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 26,50,00,000 apprx

Chhapak was DP's acid test -- in terms of star value and box office pull.

Alia has already proved herself with Highway and Raazi...

Besides, Alia has RK (even if for namesake) and his parents really seem to be fond of her.The rumors of their marriage keep making rounds here and there.

Same way dp was the weakest link in bm and padmaavat. People hated her performance. Bm became sh coz of slb, ranveer & pc and padmaavat became bb coz of karni sena and ranveer. Dp has no starpower. Dp too is average looking and when it comes to acting quality, being average is better than being a cardboard!

I try to give everyone leeway and don't want to condemn people quickly but Deepika is testing my patience. She has videos on tiktok where she is asking make-up artists to replicate the Chhapak look and girls are making their faces look like they were burned by acid.

I have never seen anyone stooping so low for publicity. Deepika is obsessed with success to the point that she has no limits that she won't cross. I seriously wonder what is wrong inside her.

She wants to help acid attack victims and meanwhile she is turning them into a joke.

I'm happy if Alia takes over. Nepotism product or not but I have never seen Alia stoop this low.

If Gangubai becomes a hit then she will be the official number 1 not untill then ....and she is a good actor and in no way is the worst product of nepotism...

I don’t think Alia can ever be the worst product of nepotism. For one she has made hit films. How many star kids haven’t ever ? A lot

Dude highway with only 700 screens collected as much as chappak with 1700 screens did on first day. Alia apne intial days pe itni opening de deti thi jitna aaj ki superstar ab deti hai. and let s not forget raazi s opening plus alia is anyday a far better actress. Plus the throne is alia. Deepika who ??
