Bollywoods obession with biopic or historical dramas is because they lack talent to tell better stories

Biopics and historical dramas are very easy to write but telling new stories is an art at which bollywood lacks both money and talent

Soon Hollywood will take full control over entertainment in India

I agree that it reflects a lack of talent who can write good original screenplays, however the comparison is totally unjustified. Hollywood is almost completely ruined by the never-ending flux of remakes, sequels, reboots, franchises, and book adaptations. At this point, if you have a good original story in Hollywood you better wish for a star director to take it up, because otherwise its not going to find any place. In fact, all the good writing in Hollywood has totally moved to TV/Streaming platforms.

Bollywood has ALOT of problems that Hollywood has solved for itself, but in comparison, originality is surely not one of them.
