All of us only look at our own circle or those better off than us. Ananya's parents were at the bottom of the totem pole in their group. If they made a step wrong, they would be kicked out the same way Arjun Rampal and Mehr were. They get mocked for living off SRK and people make gossip that SRK pays for Ananya's expenses. It would be embarrassing and hard to be seen that way. She could not dream of having Suhana's lifestyle. Their friendship must have its own power dynamics even if Suhana is nice. She's the one whose house they party at because it's a mansion, she's the one whose dad flies them on private planes to watch cricket games, she's the one who probably gets first dibs on movies. If Suhana wanted Student of the Year, she could have taken it. Ananya knows this so for her it's her own struggle.
Tomorrow if Suhana wants to talk about her own issues, I think it would fine too. She faces her own problems, gets called ugly all the time, people make fun of her skin color, people gossip about her family. She will get compared to her dad and mocked like Abhishek and put down because he's such a big star. Others don't face that.
They are more privileged than average people but nobody looks at those below them. We don't either. We complain about our middle-class struggles too when there are people much worse off than us.
But here the entire industry is one big nepo cesspit... You literally have an entire career that is essentially closed to outsiders.. This is not a one off incident.. When you are inside the hallowed gates and whine that your struggles are comparable to those who are desperately trying to open the gates, then you are an entitled brat..
Not just Ananya, most of them are like that. And they themselves turn it into a competition... Their "we are compared to our parents" is almost always in response to the nepotism question... Its like they say - dekho humne bhi struggle kiya...
Ek baar khud experience karke dekho nepotism, the hopelessness you'll feel is unimaginable... Saara "hard work and talent matters" dhara ka dhara reh jayega
But didn't you have your own privilege? You were fortunate enough to get a good education and become a lawyer. You compare yourself to a judge's kid and find your life to be a struggle. You're allowed to feel that way. We all do. But the people sleeping on the street, who have no money for school, or work as maids or in other blue color jobs would find your life to be amazing. Whatever advances you get will help out your kids too.
For us what we have is just normal the same way for Ananya what she has is just normal. She doesn't see it as any great thing and compares herself to others who are better off. So for her that's a struggle. We all only look at those who have it easier and not those that have it harder.

Another attempt to equate PERSONAL STRUGGLE with PROFESSIONAL.
Ananya's closeness with Khan family might've brought her heartburn on personal level, but professionally, it has only benefited.
Speaking of their acting careers, none of the starkids have struggled. Ananya comes across as an entitled brat when she claims something this idiotic.

Aise toh sab kuch compare karlo with people sleeping on the street and one will always lose the argument... I'm aware of how blessed i am just to afford food, clothes, home in a country where 50% of the people are below poverty level...
But comparisons bhi kuch similar cheese ka hi karoge na... Some criteria- same profession, same education level, same aspirations etc etc... Kuch toh common rakhoge?
I'll expand the example.. A girl who graduated with us is earning 14000. I'm getting 6000 more just bec i speak better english than her. ... Thats my advantage but that is an advantage she can and will cover up in a few years because it is doable... Similarly another is earning 30000 bec he hustles alot and that is something I'll need to catch up on...
But in a class of 200, the only people who are doing great are children of xyz. No exceptions irrespective of talent... No exceptions.... This is privilege. I can't explain it any more than this

Omggg Ananya is so freaking dumb. Annoying is the right term for her. I am sorry Ananya, I don't feel your struggle. And don't have any sympathy for your "own kind of struggle" . These new nepo kids should learn something from Sara's early interviews (I haven't followed her recently). She just acknowledged her privilege, was thankful for the opportunities she has and moved on. Its as simple as that. Why to go further down and discuss their own share of struggles when there are outsiders who faced real struggles to survive in a city like mumbai to fulfill their dreams of becoming an actor. At this point, Ananya is just trying to minimize other outsiders such as Siddhant's struggle by highlighting her non-existent struggle in front of these outsiders.

But Ananya is talking about her "struggle" as though it's somehow equal to outsiders'. When she equates the two, she minimizes the professional struggle faced by the likes of Siddhanth.
How is talking about her struggle belittling outsiders struggle? 'She dint say aa bhai tumara kuch nahi mera struggle struggle hai lol' she only said even she has to go through shit because her dad is not an Alister/blister..
Jus because she is an insider she can't talk about her struggle without getting thrashed n then ppl say outsiders don't struggle

Bhai uska struggle exactly tha kya???.... My father was not a A lister, struggle nahin hota
To my knowledge she did not hustle or struggle to sign any of her movies...
No one threw her out of movie for a more powerful starkid...
Her role was never chopped off..
She was not sidelined in promotion...
Usko toh koi uske dad ki acting se bhi nahin compare kar raha...
In tangible terms uska struggle tha kya exactly???

Nobody is denying the privilege here... Bt she has her own struggle... Just because the struggle is not similar to sidhant or other outsiders doesn't mean her struggles are nothing...
She dint mock outsiders struggle or compare hers with that of outsiders, when talking about struggles she expressed hers...
N they are from same profession with diff kinda struggles..
As for u taunt in other post about ppl defending privilege to experiance real nepotism oh pls I'm sure everyone has someway or the othet' there is this new member in our team an 18year old tenth pass out she get paid same as me n other teammates just because she is an emirati.. It piss me n everyone off bt then she struggles to learn n come from a family where women are treated like shit, even though she has privilege of getting a job she doesn't deserve bt it comes with a price that she has shit family.. Life is not fair.. My struggle of studying n giving interviews, getting job is not her struggle bt it is struggle!
