Should SRK make a sequel of DDLJ?

Salman is making so many sequels of his Blockbuster movies from TZH, Dabangg 3, Race 3(which was Saif's franchise) to Kick 2 and Wanted 2 in pipeline, just to save his career.

Why isn't SRK using this tactic when he needs a hit film much more than Salman? Why not make a sequel of DDLJ? The story can easily be taken forward with an older Raj and Simran struggling in their marriage. Maybe this is what audience wants from SRK. Play mature roles but not lose his Raj/Rahul persona.

Don't give me bullshit like classics should be left alone yada yada...If Godfather can have a sequel, so can DDLJ, all they need is a strong script, baki audience will come anyway.

If u notice the pattern, salman made sequels ONLY for the FRESH movies that were just few years older, ddlj is 24 years old now.

as far as race 3 is concerned, it was saif's movie but Salman did a favour by doing it, ONLY for the sake of Bobby Deol to boost his career.

DDLJ cannot have a sequel, or if it does it will bombed badly....also kajol srk massively lost the charm as a couple with Dilwale.

SRK is NOT ANYMORE a LOVER BOY, infect stuck with this image and such movies harmed him THE MOST in recent past, so ddlj sequel is a VERY BAD idea.

Srk's situation is tricky now.... he never excelled in action or comedies, and for romantic roles he is way too old now, and its been proven with alot of his flops in last decade.

The only thing that can save him is choice of very good content oriented matured stories. Even the psychopanti of darr/bazigar/anjaam/raam-jaane stopped working for him (example fan)

That's not how you compare. They are completely different genres. GodFather is a crime fiction drama while DDLJ is romance. A more valid comparison of DDLJ would be to compare with Hollywood classic romantic movies like Gone With the Wind, Casablanca etc. None of those movies have a sequel either. Also, what kind of story they are going to show in DDLJ 2 if SRK is doing it again?

If we need to have a sequel of one of his old movies, I would rather want it to be of Kabhi Haan kabhi na..

And I want a 2.0 version of Kal ho na ho where Aman miraculously makes a recovery

And fan 2.0 where Aryan tried to recover from the trauma of Gaurav and his death

CE 2.0 to find out whether Meenama and Rahul actually make it long term

KKHH 2.0 to find out how junior Anjali deals witb a new mother

DTPH 2.0 to find out whether Nisha gets her love

I know they might all bomb but it's okay.. he must have a few crores to waste anyway

Fresh movies or stale movies, Salman is still making sequels of alot of movies. Why can't SRK make a sequel of his one hit film even if it's an old film? DDLJ sequel will bomb only in your dreams. It's an iconic film. No way is its sequel is gonna Flop. Who said SRK has to play a lover boy? An old Raj and Simran struggling in their marriage will make for a mature love story.

Yeah yeah, Salman boosted Bobby's career, but harmed Saif's career in the process. Logics of Being Human.

Oh and can I have a Devdas 2.0 too.. i wanna know if Paro goes back to her good for nothing egoistic husband in the movie and also what happens to chandramukhi.. does she go back to being a tawaif?

And Paheli 2 is a must.. did Rani live with a ghost for the rest of her life? What happened to the ghost baby?

So only crime dramas can have sequels? Point is sequels of classic films can be made.

Like I said, DDLJ 2 can be a mature love story of older couple Raj and Simran.
