Rani - Madhavan in (Bunty aur Babli 2)

The 2005 hit BUNTY AUR BABLI is getting a new version made and we at Super Cinema were the first ones to reveal about this development months ago in this very column. According to our highly placed sources, the film is going to star R Madhavan and Rani Mukerji as the original Bunty and Babli while the movie is going to have newcomers Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh in the leading roles as well. The movie is going to be directed by debutant Varun V Sharma who has worked on earlier movies of Yash Raj Films like KILL DILL (2014), SULTAN (2016) and TIGER ZINDA HAI(2017) in the past and also had written BHARAT from earlier this year. The shooting of the movie commenced last week in Mumbai.

I like Maddy but it would be great if Abhishekh is brought back, him and Rani are the original duo.

R Madhavan is definitely superb actor but I would love to watch Rani with Abhishek. I think after Abhishek's marriage with Aishwarya and Rani's marriage with Aditya, they would not like to work together or their respected partners would not like them to work together. This only just gives proof that there was a time when Rani and Abhishek had a past. Also, Rani has finally started talking with Aishwarya after years and their Friendship is also back. So maybe they don't want to spoil that too.

Anyway, I don't think Abhishek will have any issues or date issues doing movies because he hardly do movies now.

Anyway, happy to see Rani in more movies. She should do some romantic movies. 😏😏😍😍

Maddy - Rani together but will miss Abhishek...i can understand why Aditya won't want him back opp. her..moreover Abhishek announced way back in 2008 that he won't work with Rani anymore.

Waiting for Rani’s movie. I don’t think Abhishek will work with Rani because of his wife’s problem with Rani. Ash is still bitter with the fact that Rani replaced her in Chalte Chalte.

I’d loveeeee to see Abhi-Rani back together again. Romantic comedy is totally Abhishek’s forte and he was terrific in the first part, why would they rob him of this opportunity??

With that being said, I’m very pleasantly surprised with Maddy as the replacement. He’s an amazing actor and the world of Bunty aur Babli suits him:)

Abhishek is such a floppy . People don't want to cast him for sequels of his own movies 🤔.

I would prefer Madhavan over Abhishek.
