India is supposedly a democracy that allows freedom of speech and action, when within legal boundaries and propriety.
The entire racist rant and the prejudice on your post is appalling. Imagine if the USA decided not to allow foreigners to participate or work in the USA or using any USA theme, subject, money or technology.
Your kaka used and American director for her action scenes in manikarnika. PLUS she is arriving Sep. 19 in Los Angeles California to seek the HELP of a foreign artist for her next project; another historical figure. What happened? is there no talent available in-house? Are you boycotting her next film due to that?
This was in the works even before kaka na, stole the idea and all the work product from K. Mehta.
Jhansi Ki Rani is a historical figure, part of the public domain, to be remembered and written about by all. Kaka does NOT own India nor the history. (she herself said it when confronted with her stealing someone else's work).
After kaka stole the idea and then highjacked the movie and stole the directors credit by re-filming parts of it using his exact direction, the result is a sorry embarrassment, to the entire country. She basically ruined the work, turning it into a fail. The Magnum Flopus with a blond, fake eyelashed queen gesturbating in that ridiculous dance number should have been banned as damaging to the history and the morality of the historical figure.
Manikarnika was made into a film long ago, and has been a constant figure in many forms in India. kaka did not invent her nor rescued her from obscurity, nor in any way add any value to her story. In fact it was a detriment.
kaka thought she could displace the memory of the real Jhansi queen, completely and assume the persona, because she is a damaged woman without a clear identity. Ain't gonna happen. People who went to see the flick did so out of kind patriotic duty, they gave her the benefit of trying, however the terrible hatchet job was a clear disappointment, and that is the reason the flick failed, IT WAS A REALLY BAD FILM. It has nothing to do with her personal life nor any of the other 99 things she blamed her failure on. You cannot blame anyone else for it, that is kakas doo.
I hope this next film does justice to history, to the real Queen and to the talent and technology available to film makers in 2019.
I am going to support this production and any other that is well made and depicts the correct history.
