I am asking this because, one of our state is completely blocked out from outside connectivity for almost a month.

I am not against our government changing article 370. I could also understand when the the government imposed the communication blockade in initial days. But now that the blockade is going on for almost a month, I am raising this question. One month is sufficient time for the matter to sink into Kashmiri's mind. There will not be a sudden surge of anger anymore. Yes, there will still be violent protests. But that will be there after 6 months also. So, one cannot stop communication for indefinite time.

Also why there should only be two ways for people? Those who oppose blockade are the same people who opposed government changing article 370. Similarly the people who welcomed the government decision on article 370 are the ones who are silently ignoring this issue. That implies, you either support completely or oppose completely. Then what happens to people like us, who don't want to align in any group?

I feel you. The first week was enough. Because of the obvious Pak-Kashmir nexus. Kuch bhi ho sakta tha. But the communication blockade has to end some day. Also we won't really know if all those human rights violations from the Indian Army in the area are true or false with this blockade still in effect. I think Modi government just wants keep Kashmir on its toes. They are planning something definitely. The only good thing about this is whatever is happening with separatist leaders. Too long they have taken advantage of handling both boats. But some civilian violence by Army reports definitely need to be investigated.

Yes. Doesn't even take a week... Go out with a cheap mobile phone without internet or games, when you'd come back and turn your smartphone on, you won't enjoy it that much.

We usually need SM to take a break from monotony, while commuting, to avoid interactions with a certain people, to avoid certain situations, when we can't sleep. If the alternatives were as easily accessible as internet/SM we could easily leave SM.

This is a political discussion, has nothing to do with Bollywood. Closed.
