Chhichhore Has Strong Trend Over Weekend

Chhichhore did well over its first weekend thanks to a strong trend on Saturday and Sunday which took the collections of the film to 35 crore nett over the weekend. The weekend is similar to De De Pyaar De released earlier this year though the growth is more over the weekend and the costs are less than that film.

The film fared best in Delhi NCR though Mumbai could have done better though it picked up very well on Saturday. The film collected 10.25 crore nett in Mumbai circuit and 8.50 crore nett in Delhi / UP circuit. the business was not that great in UP barring some of the multiplexes but due to very good business in NCR the film put up a good Delhi / UP total.

The film should hold on Monday going by the weekend trend but its at what levels it can hold and there will be Moharam to help the collections a little also. The collections of Chhichhore over the first weekend are as follows.

Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday 12,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 16,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 35,00,00,000 apprx

Chhichhore Is A Huge HIT

Chhichhore is a huge HIT as it collects 7.25-7.50 crore nett on Monday which is more than its first day collections. The film had lower ticket prices at multiplexes on Monday as compared to Friday and almost 90% of the business is from multiplexes yet its collections were still better than the first day.

This ensures the film is a HIT and could turn out to be a SUPER HIT depending on how the second week goes. The film has collected over 42 crore nett in four days and the collections should suepass the 60 crore nett for the week comfortably and teh numbwe will depend how much Muharram adds on Tuesday. the evening collections were helped that it was a holiday the next day.

The film is now collecting very well at all big city multiplexes, the business in smaller centres is not good but the film does not need them as its not a big film and the big city multiplexes alone can take the film to a huge number. Delhi NCR still leads and is set for a good long run for this film.

Saaho (Hindi) maintained well with collections of 2.25-2.50 crore nett which is around 30% down from the Friday. The film should do business of around 22-23 crore nett in week two which is a good number as its coming without South and with a release like a regular Hindi film it would be a 25 crore nett first week which would be better than the likes of Bharat, Gully Boy and De De Pyaar De.

With so many hits, how come Shraddha is not a huge star???!!!! Are PR agents only analyzing twitter clicks and views and not theater footfalls??

Chhichhore And Saaho Go Up On Tuesday

Chhichhore and Saaho (Hindi) had good growth on Tuesday thanks to Muharram. Both films will grow in the 25-30% range. Chhichhore is setting itself up for a good long ran as its Tuesday collections will be around 9.50-10 crore nett range.

The total collections of the film are now over 52 crore nett in five days and it should now close the week at around 65 crore nett which will be an excellent first week total. The way the film has been accepted at most multiplexes means it should be easily be able to compete with the new release Dream Girl this week. That film will be competing for the same audience as it hardly hold appeal for single screens and smaller center multiplexes but Chhichhore is an established film so it should still have a big second week.

Saaho (Hindi) also showed good growth on Tuesday to collect 3.25 crore nett apprx which takes the film to 135 crpre nett in 12 days and it seems to heading for a 24 crore nett second week. The film is probably looking to cross Super 30 in terms of NETT collections though the distributor share and footfalls have already crossed Super 30.

The film is now certain to be the fourth biggest HIT of the year in Hindi after Kabir Singh, Uri - The Surgical Strike and Mission Mangal though Chhichhore might bring it down a place if it continues to sustain at this pace.
