I don't think it's the money or the script. It's only the co-star not co-star's'. She's can't let go of him even if she has a doormat of a husband.
She's in desperate need of a hit where she can get credit for the movie's success. And that can't happen with husband's film. Easy to do that when RK is the co-star as she has always got an equal role in his films. Also it'll be easy for her to take full credit for its success because her overactive PR will again spin it as how DP "saved" RK's career. On flip side if movie flops it'll be again be easy to put full blame on Ranbir as how he's a panauti and all that.
