Kabir Singh Phenomenal Second Weekend Trend

Kabir Singh was affected by the big cricket match on Sunday though the film still managed to get some decent growth of a little under 10%. The film collected around 17.75 crore nett on Sunday though if there was no match it could have crossed 20 crore nett.

The film has now taken its total to almost 179 crore nett in just ten days and is still going very strong. The drop is just 35% in the second weekend with the cricket match affecting on sunday otherwise it could have been 30-32%. Either way it is phenomenal trend for a film which had a big first week.

The drop is 35% in the second weekend but even if we take weekly drops of 40-45% then the film is crossing 300 crore nett. The problem will be that there will be stronger competition in the weeks to come and the cricket could really hit badly in the third and fourth weeks. The business of Kabir Singh till date is as follows.

The is closing in on the 60 crore nett mark in Mumbai and the 40 crore nett mark in Delhi / UP. Both the circuits combined should be 100 crore nett by the end of business on Monday. In CP Berar it has become the top film of the year in just ten days as it crossed the numbers of Bharat.

Article 15 is a successful film as it grossed around 3.75 crore nett on its first Monday. it is a solid hold from Friday with a drop of 20% apprx. This takes the total of the film to 23.50 crore nett in four days and it should be around 33-34 crore nett for the week.

The second Friday number will tell if the film can become a major success. The film could have done even better if it did not have the amazing run of Kabir Singh up against it and though numbers are pretty good for Article 15 it is being overshadowed by that film which doing 4-5 times the business of Article 15 in most core Hindi centres and that also in week two.

Kabir Singh is simply not stopping as the second Monday collections could go over 9 crore nett which will take the 11 day total to around 188 crore nett. Its just a staggering run for the film as it heads for 75-80 crore nett second week.

The film will cross thee numbers of Bharat and the 200 crore nett mark on Wednesday but more importantly it will become the most watched Hindi film in the theatres on Tuesday as it will cross the footfalls of Uri - The Surgical Strike. This will be in just 12 days and the footfalls of Avengers Endgame will also be crossed in the next 7-8 days.

Kabir Singh remains super strong with 9 crore nett apprx coming on its second Monday taking the 11 day total to 188 crore nett apprx. The second week should be around 77-78 crore nett but there is a cricket match today (Tuesday) so that could take the collections down a little on Tuesday.

The second week will be the highest of the year beating the 62.76 crore nett of Uri - The Surgical Strike and beating the 66 crore nett odd for Padmaavat which was the best for a Shahid Kapoor starrer prior to Kabir Singh. It will be the seventh highest second week of all time.

The film will continue to break records of many films in the days to come and the final target is looking to beat the business and footfalls of Padmaavat to become the most watched and highest NETT grosser of Shahid Kapoor . The business of Kabir Singh till date is as follows.
