Kabir Singh has had a fantastic first day as it collects in the 20 crore nett range. The film could even be the second highest opening day of the year if the final collections go towards 21 crore nett. The film is excellent all over the country in all circuits and all centres. The mass and youth audience have taken to the film in a big way initially.

It is the highest ever opening for Shahid Kapoor beating the 18.21 crore nett of Padmaavat. This film did not release in places due to a controversy but that controversy also took the hype for this film to another level. Padmaavat was not a solo hero film and the highest Shahid Kapoor solo was Shaandaar which had a holiday release but crashed thereafter.

The film has collected over 1 crore nett in a mass circuit like CP Berar without a holiday and this was simply unthinkable for a Shahid Kapoor starrer before the release of the film. Kabir Singh is a remake of a Telugu which was a big hit in Andhra Pradesh but not a huge grosser with business of 25 crore nett. The way this film is going it will emerge a far far bigger hit than the original film

dis wonder n magic made by Telugu director sandeep reddy vanga d director of kabir Singh which is remake of telugu movie arjun reddy ,director of d original also. d real man behind it .nailed it n killed it , good job given new life to shahid as solo hero n to bolly lol.

We get it that you are a Telugu who hates BW and is proud of Vanga Reddy but fact is he would not have been able to achieve this with a mediocre actor like Arjun kapoor so give credit to Shahid too.

I love the director...Arjun Reddy is my favourite Telugu film after Baahubali. I am not the one taking away credit but you are by repeatedly dissing Shahid. Fact is Sandeep has made two films in his entire career which is Arjun Reddy amd its remake Kabir Singh. Let him make more films and establish a solid filmography before we give him all the credit for reviving Shahid's career and what not.
