Indirect pairing ki kaun baat kara hai bhai??? 😂😂 First get your facts right. I was talking about the movies where they are both MAIN LEADS, not random films where they just feature as a pair. I didn't even know about these 2 movies. I stated what I did to the best of my knowledge not to with the intention of being biased. The majority of their films are hits only, waise bhi 2 films flop hone se Kya hota hai?? So calm down......

JAAGRUTI 1992 was a massive flop. While NISHCHAIY 1992 that was released just after 2 weeks of JAAGRUTI is considered THE BIGGEST DISASTER of salman's career till date...salman mentioned it himself in a funny way in dus ka sum.

Rest all films they did never had any potential to their pair to be shine...also chal mere bhai was another flop, although not as massively flop n disasterous as JAAGRUTI and NISHCHAIY was.

Karishma is very over rated here on IF...she was a HAMMING QUEEN till early 2000's.

Even salman-Raveena had much better chemistry together in their only movie together PATTHAR KE PHOOL than salman lolo couple, tbh.

not just salman karisma but srk karisma is also underrated. srk looks way better than bebo with karisma. I didn't like raja Hindustani though. felt ott.

You dont even know about two major releases of salman

Jaagruti and Nishchaiy were NOT SOME RANDOM MOVIES...They were high budget films of their time and they had karishma salman as the ONLY LEAD PAIR the story revolved around their charscters. Infect their screen time and importance of their roles were much more in these two films compared to rest of their comedies.

Both these films were so huge flop that they broke salman's back until the release of humaapke hain kaun...all 90s kids knows this.

Karishma been a nepo kid been given so many chances again opposite salman despite been proven most unlucky heroine for him in first two films..in this way their pair is actually over rated

And as someone mentioned audience don't remember pairs much in comedy movies ... And yes raveena urmila and even Sonali looked better with salman than karishma

Ppl only took bhai pairing with madhuri, kajol, and even rani , seriously

Most of these Karisma-Salman movies were all David Dhawan comedies, and everyone can say they were timepass and ‘dumb’ movies but after seeing how abysmal Judwaa 2 was with Jacqueline copying Lolo badly and Varun copying Salman and Govinda (essentially his whole career), credit to Sallu and Lolo for atleast making Judwaa and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge and even Biwi#1 fun to watch. Sallu seemed very comfortable with Lolo too, even today offscreen he’s much more comfortable with Lolo than Bebo.

I haven’t watched Jeet so don’t know if the dramatic scenes were any better. Also Lolo was, as Sanya91 says, overacting ki dukaan (her Raaaaaaajaaaaa from Raja Hindustani is still echoing in my ears 😆) but her dance numbers were too good, and she actually started doing subtle roles till the end of her peak in 2000/2001/2002.

Not defending Karishma but Raja Hindustani as a whole was overacting ki dukaan 😂😂😂😂 Even Aamir overacted a LOT and I think that was the whole point of the movie. 😂😂

I still can't forget that ridiculous scene where Aamir steals his own baby while acting like a barbarian and overacted so much 😂😂😂

Overacting was a thing prevalent in a lot of 90s films.

Karishma was highly praised for her roles in Zubeida, Fiza and Dil Toh Pagal Hai. She did win a National award and 4 Filmfare awards.

Tbh even Aamir used to overact a LOT. I got to know about his ridiculous films through Pretentious Movie Reviews 😂😂😂 And my god was he awful in those films..

I am looking forward to Karishma’s new show too. Btw, I am probably the very few in this forum who loved RH and Devdas which are constantly bashed for being ott. I was a child when I watched RH, so I doubt I even noticed their ott acting lol. But I did find Aamir very dramatic and disliked how sexist his character turned after marrying Karishma’s character. I watched in train too going from one country to another and have so many memories attached to it <3 The songs were the one of the best of 90s movies. I can understand why RH was ATBB. It actually made Karishma in to top actress I heard. I remember the songs used to be everywhere during childhood and everyone was talking about the movie and listening to the songs.
