The field of tv was very small during SRK s time and after that industry has grown so much and it's high time people realise that. That's why today the tv actors can speak boldly against the discrimination and people like jitesh pillai. Today salman khan invests so much be Kapil sharma show or upcoming nach baliye show. Salman khans films or SRK s films aren't well but salman khan star power exists credit goes to tv.

Does it even matter if most tv actors are known by the character name? Audience still love the person playing the character same as fans love movie actors for playing their fav characters in movies and their fav movies because of it. It’s not like fans love movie actors for their personal life. They know them some by their names, but they really don’t care what they do in their personal life and all they care about is their movies. And I doubt most of them even know their names except the Khans and the likes who have been for a long time. And even for khans and known names, most audience don’t know their personal lives and now they are. I used to think SRK and Kajol were married when I was a child, and I used to only know SRK, Kajol and Ash’s name. That’s it. Other movie actors I knew by characters. It’s only when I came to this forum that I know almost all actors names. Most in my family don’t know the new actors names and even the old actors lives. All they watch is their movies if the movie is good. Same with shows. So how does it even matter if audience know by name or by character when they will still be fans and just watch their movies/shows?

And some in my family don’t know Madhuri of all. I had to keep reminding them the characters of hers for them to recognize 😆

I’m honestly bored of all the lectures these tv actors are posting these days! I mean just be done with this already. The frustrations they have seem to be coming out thanks to the hina controversy.

If they know TV is so good and blah blah why aspire to be one of the khans or why act like wanna bees when you meet the BW stars!

The fact is most of them from the TV industry lack any charm nor do they have acting skills to be a BW material! And BW itself have so many people like that toh aur logon ko kaise mauka milega!

Of course TV is so good why do BW need TV to promote their movies .So speaking about discrimination means u aren't happy in ur life career is it ! Here it's about the discrimination they faced because they are TV stars. In BW so many don't even know acting but still they look down upon TV .Agree with fact they act like wannabes infront of bw stars but I m glad that now they openly speak against it . Hina controversy made entire industry together and nobody will dare to mess or insult TV like jitesh pillai.

I kind of agree with him in some statements. Like how Karan Singh Grover and Barun Sobti were avoided inspite of being such talented actors and stars as well with their large fandoms, just bcos they are from small screen or tv.

But i again disagree with him underestimating the new gen's actors' popularity. By this, he is doing the very samething he is speaking for, discriminating stars. Film stars have their own fandoms just like he or other popular TV faces have or may be much more. Just fight for the rights without pulling anyone down.

U know him? U watched him even? Just like how on film there are models, there are great actors on TV as well. For every Ahem actor, there is a Karan Singh Grover.

Just watch the inauguration video of Yeh hai mohobbatein. U will find Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi to be not only charming but very intelligent, beautiful, attractive and special. Just like BW has avg actors and faces, there are in TV as well but here, he is talking about quality actors who are stars. Who made such place in people's minds. It is some of their preference and comfort and liking to work on TV. Jennifer Winget is termed by every producer of hers to be film star material. Same with Karan Singh Grover or Barun Sobti or Sanaya Irani or Arjun Bijlani. Don't underestimate their intelligence or talent or worthiness. They can eat away some of the stars on TV with their experience of working daily for 12 hours.
