If you love your country, specially the people who give you so much love and adoration, and are the reason for your success, you would atleast invest in their futures. I don't think just India but voting is a big deal all around the world. I mean it's a right given by the constitution of your own country for your own benefit. Why would anyone not exercise it? I mean if you're a part of a democracy, how can voting be a choice despite it not being compulsory?

There are many benefits given by a country, but that doesn’t mean everyone takes it. So I don’t get this debate about people HAVE to vote. Anyway, I guess it’s easier to vote in India since it doesn’t go to war. But not everyone country has such an easy choose. In US whatever party you vote for, it’s going to go to war with another country anyway. So one feels guilty to vote feeling innocents blood on ones hand by voting. Whatever party you vote for, you get crap anyway.
