Things are not exactly a bunch of roses every time for our celebs. Success and failure go hand in hand for them. One such celeb is
Varun Dhawan who has had many hit films in his Bollywood career. But his latest ambitious project Kalank tanked at the box office which was inevitably an unfortunate moment for him along with the entire team of the film. The October actor recently celebrated his 32nd birthday soon after the release of his film.
Varun recently revealed that he was feeling quite low about the film’s failure and that his friends planned a getaway to Thailand to lighten up his mood on his birthday. Varun also indulged in his favourite martial arts sports Muay Thai, Thai boxing and released a video on YouTube wherein he shared a heartfelt message about Kalank not meeting up to the expectations. He revealed in the video that, “My 32nd birthday... But I am going to tell you how it all went down. I was a little down because my latest release did not go the way I thought it would and it did hit me a little hard, I will be very honest. I didn't know how to react to it. Lot of people told me, 'don't show it'. I don't know how to behave like that. Failures are a part of life."
He further revealed how his friends cheered him up for his birthday and planned the trip. He further added saying, “My friends though had my back. [They] told me 'pack your bags.' I said, 'What are we going to do?' They said, 'Muay Thai.' So the 1:25 flight on GoAir, we flew and the rest you can watch."Varun Dhawan essayed the role of Zafar in the film and Alia Bhatt played his love interest. Even though, Varun was praised for his performance, the film received mixed reviews from the critics and tanked at the box office.
The part in bold seems like a dig at Alia.
