I agree, the movie shouldve been from Zafar's POV and also shouldve been promoted that way...I feel the drama between KJO n the author of the book which the movie was inspired from, also put more focus on Roop, Satya and their husbands character........keeping Zafar totally out of loop (since he wasnt in the book).......... this was a bit unfair towards Varun........

at least all the major movies are connected to her..... I dont think the movies that are yet to begin shooting, succeeded due to her.......... they wouldve had similar hype with some other top actress too.....and again, she is snatching roles from others...... which is unfair.......

lol most ridiculous thing ever. kalank flopped b/c of her lack of qualities. people realized she is not deepika thats what happened.when someone is hyped and overrated, it comes through evenutally.she is successful b.c of her films and content, thats it.

if they are equally medicore, than why is one who is medicore and literally has nothing over the edge of her contemporaries besides the content of films she does hyped as some meryl streep.I guarentee you kriti sanon would have excelled in a role like kalank. she should have been cast instead.

Ask that with people who hype her as Meryl Streep, because as far as I know, audience doesn't care about that tag. Audience like Alia because she is part of movies like Dulhania series and 2 States. Baaki content movies are just internet thing, people have watched SOTY more times than a Highway or a Udta Punjab or Dear Zindagi. [BR] See the point is, people care about other actress's struggle and talent, hence criticize her is bogus. They just hate Alia, because for them Alia is the representation of every privileged person, a tag given to her by Mata Kangu.[BR] [BR] Now that Kalank has flopped, everyone could have replaced Alia and movie would have been ATBB, out grossing even Endgame. Why Kriti, even Rakhi Sawant would have done better.

I will never know if people like alia for what she brings to the character, or the idea of a character or role bringing the best out of her. if their is unequal opportunity in general in the industry with actresses, I am not able to see what others can bring to the plate in great roles. all is feel is that its unfair when this happens.all these films you are bringing up with her contemporaries..none are critically acclaimed, and or re watchable solely due to content. this explains flops such as shaandaar and kalank. alia was not hyped up in those films for a reason. content outshines anyday.again im not able to pinpoint what makes her extraordinary besides the content and the characters of her films.I personally really like her as an actress w/o noticing the nepotism aspect..the reason why i bring up kalank is b/c she bought nothing to that character that makes her an extraordinary talent. and if casting and privelege wasnt a part of the casting for that film, someone could have done a better job.
