@Bold..made me tear up again.....the finality of it💔Originally posted by: AllThatCritique
The Gideon Raff movie is one am most excited about. The only good thing coming out of these is that we are gonna see these two more in the theatres. But to be very honest I think both of them know that whatever it is they do after its never gonna match up to being an Avenger.
Felt the same when Harry Potter ended but it's going to be a mixed feeling like you are excited to watch how it all ends but then sad that it ends.
I was afraid that with so much high expectations and hype, the movie might not live up to it. But well, this was not just a movie, this was an event of a lifetime!!! The end of an era!!!
So even if the movie had been thrashed by critics and general audience for being technically bad, the fans were going to love it and get teary eyed no matter what!!! Because this was were the adventure of our beloved characters end.
Sure, MCU will continue with new characters, and the new phase might be as good as this one, but it'll not be THIS phase. THIS phase is over, and will not come back, just like our past.
Now coming to the film(HEAVY SPOILERS, Please skim if you haven't watched the film.)
There are some things which I didn't like, such as the treatment of Hulk and Thor. They were reduced to a butt of jokes. Hulk doesn't get any scene to shine in the film. Thor could've done more in the action set-pieces. Though his scene with Frigga was really emotional and one of the best moments in the film.
Also the solution of time travel was quite very simplistic. And casual audience might've a hard time understanding the rules of time travel set in the film. The movie is three hours long, but there's not any boring moment, except the action is very limited until 2/3rd act of the film which some people may not like. I expected Captain Marvel to do much more after she was hyped so much by Marvel, but she was hardly there though she did get some epic moments during fighting Thanos.
But overall, the movie serves its purpose in giving the finality to the stories and arcs of the original Avengers(except Thor and maybe Hulk). The final epic battle with almost all the MCU heroes and Cap finally saying Avengers assemble gives goosebumps. I thought I might get a heart attack when I watched that in the theater, with the crowd going completely nuts.
Now coming to the endings the OG Avenger got, it was really hard for me to accept Tony and Nat's death. As soon as she and Hawkeye set foot in Vormir, I knew she was a goner, still it was so hard to accept her death.
And Tony? I was completely shocked!!! I didn't even tear up. I was just shocked till the funeral scene ended!!! It's not that I was not counting him to die. It was just that I didn't thought that he'll die and Cap will survive. I thought either it'll be Cap or both Tony and Cap. I never thought that Steve is going to get a happy ending, so it was really surprising. The last scene was so heart warming.
Though Cap's ending did open a can of worms about the time travel rules shown in the film. The quantum realm doesn't exactly take you to the past but a different reality. So we had to assume that Cap went back in 1940s and lived his life with Peggy in a different reality? But then he didn't came back from the quantum realm, he was just sitting there in the bench, as if he was always in this universe. And how did he put all the stones back to it's original place? Are we getting a Captain America 4 to tie these loose ends? Or have the Russos left it on the fans to figure it out?

More than movies I feel Evans is more inclined to get a political voice. He's starting a website to even out sides of opinion. And you know, I love than man to death. His voice is very potent and I think he's gonna be big politically some day. And to be honest, I would love a few rom-coms from him please. That 'Americas ass' I wanna see more of that beefcake and so much more.
watch his film - The Gift u will fall in love with him all over again !
or you can just put it simply that RDJ's contract with marvel ENDED with endgame...so it had to end this way lol
what is wrong with this layout...i can't quote people, whenever i quote, only post shows up..ughhh hate this upgrade
I feel numb inside. I am so sad!!!!!! WHYYYY???? WHY WHY WHY WHY?
I am going to miss this so much. I can't believe we were blessed with such an era of epic superhero movies.
Those were my favourite scenes! However I didnt like how they treated the beer-loving Avenger, he would supposed to be more powerful.Damn I miss the Indian audience! I had such a blast during Infinity War but British audience is always so silent, I was the only one screaming and crying in the theatre xDMCU wont be the same again, as the Avengers theme music in the movie suggested...nonetheless, I am excited to see what comes up next...and was happy that atleast some of them survivedOriginally posted by: Eggon_Snow
I saw it in a multiplex FDFS...the entire mahaul was of a single screen...shrieking, laughing, clapping...it was amazing.
SPOILERS
The mjolnir scene...there was a collective gasp.I know what you mean about the film, it really is too emotional. I doubt I will get over it soon what with my most favourite superhero never donning the suit again. I cannot relate the experience without choking up. This was bittersweet in every way. I am in two minds whether to even see it again...just indescribably sad....my fave got closure but still and I am happy for his character but sad as a fan who loved him for years and wanted to see more of him. I am gonna quit MCU now, probably only watch the BW film.😭
Endgame ended me...I am done.

SPOILERS!!
Cap returns the stones to its rightful periods so any discrepancy in the timelines never happens. As the Ancient one says putting the stones together again where they belong create a linear timeline. My understanding is that Cap returned the stones and then went back to Peggy and lived a life with her creating a completely different timeline branching away from the previous one. The Cap which came back didn't come through the same portal as the Cap who went to return the stones. The latter just didn't come back and lived his life with Peggy in a new timeline and from there travels to this one using extra pym particles at the exact moment when Cap goes away from here to grant a final goodbye and to let them know what he did and why he never came back and to handover the shield.
