I think I figured this out.This new forum design is a conspiracy theory. Karan Johar found out that Kalank is being bashed on this forum and Alu is being exposed so he pulled the plug on IF and forced them to do this new format design so it takes away from the Kalank debacle. And notification tab is of no use. It doesnt shows who quoted u. It shows who liked your post but that is not even proper one. Because u dont know which post was liked!

No. It's too cluttered and unorganised. Not at all user friendly. The posts and replies are all hotpotch. Accessing the topics was much better earlier but now the design is restricting it.

It's hurting to the eye too.

No, I don't like the new look. Previous one was cosier. I thought the new interface will be cleaner but on the opposite, it's more cluttered and quite a headache to get used to. Lots of user features are missing that were very important and made IF IF.
