I meant he has been away from that genre for too long...same goes with Salman who has been abusing laws of physics with his trashy movies. So it would be difficult to create a romance of HDDCS level.

Even if there would be someone else.. I really don't buy much into SLB 's modern tales - bar Black and HDCCS- and these were done years and years back..

Yet:

Salman -Alia pairing can never be like Salman -Aish pairing.

And I am not a big fan of ANY of the actresses... just stating the obvious. Salman is much much older ...and Aloo can never be Aish - the kite scene in Kalank showed the glaring differences.

SLB needs good looking people to fill those good looking canvasses, needs historicals to match his opulent style... and this pairing won't do.

This movie will be like Race 3.. making some money but not enough.

Hmm, I don't think so, being away from that genre for a long time doesn't neccesarily mean that he can't re-create the magic of HDDCS. If he had casted someone suitable for the female lead instead of Alia, this would've still been on my watch list.

Bhansali never goes wrong with his pairings though, I don't know why he's botched this up 😕

Bhansali is definitely going back to the historical genre with Heera Mandi starring Priyanka. I can't wait to watch that one!! ⭐️⭐️

I was hoping badly he would shelve Inshallah and do Heera Mandi instead. Not because it's a period film but the content is great and I love Priyanka-SLB combo.

I agree that Salman-Ash pairing was magical.
