Alia still behind Deepika?

Despite having back-to-back releases and hogging the limelight, Alia Bhatt is still behind Deepika Padukone in all ratings, be it popularity, actress no. 1 and so on and so forth. Why do you think this is the case? Deepika had only 1 release from 2016-2019 which is Padmavat and yet, she continues to be actress no. 1. What do people see in her that they don't see in Alia?

I thought Deepika is top, Alia bottom.

alia does all these big films and great roles.but her impact is less in these films. she would have been number 1 by now, a superstar. but she just maintains high popularity, although she is still a top actress of course.

the impact deepika left after ram leela, and cocktail and the popularity she achieved after those films is something alia hasnt achieved. maybe she will after 2020 with all those huge films...but her journey was never organic so she needs to be forced in huge films first before her impact is made to the level of superstardom. its so forced its not even funny. it came much quicker for deepika b/c she earned it and she just had "it."

personally i feel people just respect deepika more, and that plays a huge role in stardom.
