Anyways I do find Alia better actor than Deepika and sonakshi .
While Deepika was given many opportunities, big films , to prove herself, unfortunately sonakshi did not get as many opportunities and films . Maybe if sonakshi was given as many opportunities as Deepika and Alia, good roles, big films , she would have been a hit as well.
She was fantastic in lootera and I find sonakshi a better dancer , then both Deepika and Alia

As for Alia , whatever given, she soared !

Come on how much more opportunities do we want for Sonakshi.She has done nearly 25 films and when you talk about an exceptionally well acted movie of hers..its only Lootera(sick of this same reference over n over again).All I want to say is that a good actor is the one who shines even in an average movie.She was so so average in Akira,Happy Bhag Jaegi,Tevar,Force 2 which I feel had decent roles for the female lead.If you don't compare her with the likes of Abhishek Bachchan Arjun Kapoor etc she has also got enough chances and yet she has failed.
No doubt she has a stunning face and she looks ethereal in Kalank trailer(she seems to have acted good too).But lets not say she hasn't got that many chances.

Alia has no competition.

Shraddha/Parineeti suck.

Janhiv/Sara were intially popular but now nobody cares about them.

Deepika/Priyanka out of work.

No strong contender.

Alia is the queen no matter what anyone says.

Karan is killing the competition and propelling his adopted daughter. Its called marketing. Its that simple. And dont sweat about it omg lol noone thinks Alia is some next level acting goddess never before seen on hindi screen. So breathe 😆

I agree with ur post. Until recently i only saw her 2 states, Gullyboy and Raazi and thought there's a reason ppl praise her, she must have done very great job in her highly acclaimed films and i must watch them now and saw highway, udta punjab and i seriously felt shocked at what i saw. I expected grt performances but saw her fail to meet up the expectations and the demand the characters have. I finally lost all the high image i had on her. She is good now but not before is what i came up with since she's good in Raazi and Gullyboy or she can't do more demanding films. Others cud have done better if they're given these roles is also what struck me.

So agree with ur post except for the part where Alia is better than Kangana. NO! Kangana might be overrated everyone is except for Madhuri and PC but she is in the league of PC, Vidya. Alia can only be compared to Shraddha and Pari.

DP started getting underrated by the fact that she did somewhat underwhelming performances in Padmavat and BM than what is expected of her which is true, which even Ranveer said of Padmavat but what they fail to realise sometimes when u try to do too much, u fail to do what u can easily cud have done naturally, not tha t she's as bad as they claim, they're what SLB demanded from her, that is how he wanted her to act, that is HIS vision. One must see Finding Fanny to know how well DP can do understated acting. Sonakshi does have potential too.

Everyone praised Sonam in ELKDTAL but i saw nothing. She is only good at speaking sugarcoated words(earlier it used to be firecrackers) offscreen is what i understood. She is not cut for acting. Her dresses are suggested by Rhea, so she is unnecessary star.

I personally think it is a combination of several factors,

1-Such as being fortunate to be offered very good roles.

2-The physique helps, as someone on here said she is average pretty, I think she is a lot more than average pretty, in fact beautiful, but for the sake of argument let us say "average" and that can be a good thing, because you can transform into different roles, average size, color, height, all of it enhanced or changed with make up, dress up or down etc..

However one of the most important factors and why I think she has been so successful aside from the fact that

3-She can act, and has been exposed to the medium from the crib.

4-She is apparently a good LISTENER, an actor that listens is a good directors dream. She also listens to advice for sure, someone like Karan Johar is invaluable, whether you like him or not you have to give him credit.

5-Add the fact that she apparently has a good disposition on the sets, she gets along with her co-actors who all praise her to no end and are happy to work with her.

6-She has often praised others and shown gratitude.

7-She has admitted to being focused on doing her one job as an actress, because you cannot write the script, do your own make-up and hold the camera while making sure the snow falls in perfect harmony with the music. There is value in team work and recognizing their value is important, because the happier they are the better they will work for you and with you. There is NO such thing as I did it all by my self in the entertainment business.

8-People like to discount her and not give her credit for quietly, being a very smart lady, something that works in her favor.

9-She has the largest consecutive hits list of any actress in Bollywood currently, so she is very bankable, that means good offers of good roles.

As she matures her acting skills will mature with her, hopefully she will continue on a winning streak and give many more hits. I wish her well.

p.s. I do not believe in nepotism in show business like there is in other industries. In show business nepotism can get you a chance to get up unto the stage, but once you are up there and the lights are shining on you, you got to sing and dance your little heart out on your own.
