I loved the movie and I have not seen the original, but honestly...that mask thing was a little far-fetched. I also feel like Amitabh's character was on point as a lawyer. The way he conducted himself, interrogated Naina, held his composer and whatnot..it just never seemed like a random Joe Shmoe can do the same by merely wearing some mask. I know the couple said they like acting or so, but no way, can anyone random person act so brilliantly... I just don't think it made sense 😆. The mask was far fetched, indeed. With that said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the film and am glad this very ending literally lasted a minute or so. 😆

Transformation via prosthesis and makeup is not really unheard of.. Tapsee had not met the lawyer before to actually notice if he was exactly the same.. Makeups changed how AB looked in Paa and Rishi looked in the two movies to a large extent.. So yeah, there is that

It was a near professional prosthetic mask, so I can sort of fall for the entire charade. However, they relied simply on the fact that the original Badal Gupta is super punctual and won't arrive earlier than expected, which IMO is something they could've addressed. Nevertheless, I just got back from the movie and loved it, especially when Taapsee finally showed her true colors, oh what wonderful acting! And of course there always no words for Amitabh, he's a brilliant performer and everyone knows that.
