What BS list is this. How is Vidya in TDP empowering? ? 😕

Vidya in Kahaani is still ok but even that isn't empowering. . it was a strong character but not an inspiration. .

Haven't watched BM so can't comment..

Sridevi's char from English vinglish should have been here.. also Piku as a character was great even tho the film was just average..

Oh and also Datto from TWMR 👍🏼

Rani also should have been there.

I agree. It should have been Piku here instead of that annoying af Mastani. Piku is how a modern woman living in urban areas of India looks like.

Mastani doesn't deserve to be in the list as everyone here said

Women empowerment is not only about self happiness and wanting love. There's no wrong in being in love but if he's a married man with a happy family then you should also consider how the wife would feel. Women empowerment is about empowering other women too not snatching their husbands and their rights

Mastani should be in the list

Kangu from queen too

Preity from KANK was my fav character especially from the scene were she tells jerk SRK'S character how he wasn't good enough so she was the MAN

I feel some actresses roles also deserved to be in that list such as

Tanu Weds Manu - Tanu

Tanu Weds Manu Returns - Datto/Tanu

Neerja - Neerja

NH10 - Meera

Queen - Rani

Mary Kom - Mary Kom

Udta Punjab - Dr. Preet Sahni

Raanjhanaa - Zoya

Ishqiya - Krishna

I have yet to see it but I think Raazi - Sehmat might qualify

Some might find mine taking Tanu (TWM) Krishna and Zoya's name questionnable but I feel even though their attitude might have been questionnable, everything they did steemed out of their choices and own volition.

I think it's also nice to portray women having a certain duplicity to attain their goal.

Oh yes I forgot about Dor! It definitly deserved to be up there in this list. Fiza and more of Tabu's movies too.
