it is obvious that a blockbuster movie making 125cr (raazi) will be talked about more than a flop movie which could not even make 25cr

praise always goes hand in hand.with BO..sad but true

for eg..taapsee got much more acclaim.for Pink..where as i feel she was better here..coz pink was a superhit and made 70cr

the more a movie is seen..the more people notice your talent and more the praise

I definitely think Taapsee was better in this film than Pink, for sure.

Yeah, the movie was long, but I still felt the director/writer tried keeping the audience engaged. At least in my case. I also liked how all of the characters are extremely flawed and hard to root for, but you still manage to like them in one way or the other (although in different ways). I also liked how the ending was sort of up for interpretation.

I watched it 2 weeks back and honestly struggled to finish it. The story is so so cliched and worthless. I was expecting it would be a pathbreaker where the wife actually goes back to her lover leaving her husband because that's whom she loves honestly. This changing after marriage or after coming in touch with a good stable guy and becoming sane is so repetitive. Here Tapsee's character even cheats on her husband. If she can go to that length for her lover, why not just accept it that she can continue loving her lover ? Anyways, HDDCS is still fresh in everyone's memory. So this is more or less same.

Vicky was a stunner ! Unmatched performance. Tapsee was good and definitely better than hyped Alia's performance from Razi although I dont know why we have to compare. But Tapsee really sucks in the romantic scenes specially with subtle ones (with Abhishek). She's monotonous. AB wasn't as good as he was mentioning in KWK that Jaya wont even see his performance, he was getting nervous etc etc 😆

I feel Taapsee showed a lot of improvement from the last time I saw her (i.e. Pink). I didn't quite like Abhishek either. For me, he was the weakest performer. Vicky was great on on the other hand.

The reason why I brought Alia from Raazi in was because that is more or less the benchmark for 2018 performances given by an actress.

Taapsee was really, really good in this movie. She was brilliant. She really sank her teeth into the role and was the strongest link. Though the film does not revolve around her, she is the main characjter in a lot of ways and is very good overall.

The entire film revolves around Rumi (Taapsee), and she was brilliant. If we are going to talk about "female centric films" then this is one of the ones we should be talking about.

There are many movies which people don't talk about though.
I think if any movie of Anurag from 2018 people need to see is Mukkabaaz, miles better than many hits of the year.
Still no one talks about it.
But bringing out Ranveer/Ranbir by saying they were not as good as Vineet, and people aren't talking about it, will be kinda meh.
Because the Rans have BBs, while Mukkabaaz was a disaster, so obviously people will know less of it.

Alia is hyped a lot by media thanks to KJo. But 2018 belonged to Tabu for Andhadhun. None can beat that 😛.

But Tabu wasn't the lead, so no competition between them. Rani is a more valid comparison.

I for one didn't enjoy the movie nor the characters and neither the acting! ... I found mono-syllabus acting by Tapsee! ... Vicky was his usual good... nothing much to write about the story .. it was modern rehash of HDDCS! ...

Not a fan of taapsee I felt Vicky's acting was excellent
I liked abhishek's character
it is basically Anurag Kashyap's HDDCS

For me, This was the worst movie of 2018 that I watched. It dragged so much.

And there is nothing in the movie, that is new. Same ghisa pita story. I was still ok up until Rumi cheats after Marriage. Rumi and Vicky -- Selfish people. Zindagi mein kuch ni karna. Khud kama k khana khane tak ki hesiyat nai hai. Ghar se bhage lekin petrol dalvane ke paise nai hai. Fir bhi akad dekho inki. Faaltu ka flawed. Nikamme the dono.

I loved the film too. All characters were portrayed superbly by all 3 actors. Highly underrated movie. I think there wasn't much buzz or talk as it didn't do well in the BO and critics also didn't seem very much in high praise of it and it wasn't huge stars so go figure
