Another of the acting performance comparison series.

So today let's compare two of the actress from the start of the decade who were possibly the best acting talents in commercial cinema debuting at that time.

Although both fizzled due to poor movie and career choices.

Parineeti in HTP was the most different role she has done, probably her best. As in others she is the usual loud punjabi girl.
She was wonderful in the movie giving a subtle yet quirky performance.

Sonakshi in Lootera was simply outstanding. While she too like Parineeti has the habit of playing the same bubbly Punjabi/Bihari girl in all masala commercial movies(only exception was the Dabangg), but here she was successfully changing herself into an completely different person who could represent innocence, sorrow, despair and hope, all in one movie. Absolutely beautiful performance, one of the best Hindi cinema has seen by a leading lady in this decade, pity it won no awards.

So vote and discuss.

Pari was cringeworthy in HTP. First movie of hers I watched and hated her performance. It was such an annoying performance!

I haven't watched Lootera so cannot comment on Sonakshi's performance.

If I concentrate real hard then such movies aren't always boring.

Sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not. Like today I tried watching Andhadhun and I didn't get past 20 minutes. 😆 😆

Lootera was ok. It got too much hype I think. I wouldn't see it again lol! Sonakshi was fine.
