But it did. They reported the collections for Tuesday slightly above 8cr and Wednesday slightly above 6cr and Thursday collections must be again slightly above 5cr.
So this would make 100cr
But they rather rounded the figures so their calculation ends with 99cr.
They really losing their credibility with The way how they react to Gully Boy.
So Taran at least post the numbers and that's it and maybe there is a difference between BOI and Taran but lately it's not that different.

Gully Boy has done well in extended first week thanks to strong business in the five metros of Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata. Also Valentines Day on day one gave it a boost. The business outside these five centers ranges from average to poor.

The metros were really holding this film up till Tuesday but then the falls came on Wednesday and Thursday. It has notched up some very impressive numbers in Mumbai / Thane, Pune and even Delhi city which would be ahead of most films released last year if we look at the first week collections. But then on the other side places like Agra and Ajmer have numbers which flop films do.

The plus for second Friday will be that practically most of the business will be now coming from places where there is a healthy jump in ticket rates for the weekend. It will become a totally premium multiplex film as in the mass belts the film has not been accepted.

The collections of Gully Boy till date are as follows.

Thursday - 19,25,00,000 apprx

Friday - 12,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 18,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 21,00,00,000 apprx

Monday - 8,50,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 8,00,00,000 apprx

Wednesday - 6,00,00,000 apprx

Thursday - 5,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 99,00,00,000 apprx

BOI didn't felt Ranveer is anyway responsible for ppl coming to theatres. Even other sites. Yes there is good WOM and but the man himself has to be good in the eyes of audience..it is combination of everything. It is only then they watch the films. It is not that easy. They still think he hasn't risen after Padmavat and it didn't do anything to him. Well be in such delusions. Everytime they say he is arrived. He arrived already with Padmavat and Simmba. He has a good boy next to door homely feel to him, that somewhere ppl can spend sometime to watch him. Someone like Shahid didn't have that in ppl's eyes. Not that he didn't have homely appeal, he did have it but he lacks charisma and screen presence despite being a good actor.

So was going through GB hashtag on tweeter and seem like quite a few have watched the movie multiple times. Take that BOI crapping on the movie. A movie is defeinitely a hit and well liked if the target audience watch the movie more than once in the theatre. So boi should stop the movie was rejected by the mass centre chants because the target audience (metros) are loving the film. The movie never was intended to have a pan-India appeal in the first place.
