Though I agree with the notion that people are yet underdeveloped mentally in their early 20s, if two consenting adults want to marry each other then it doesn't matter what we think. You also have to realise that every person is unique and one person's peak mental maturation level does not equal another's. Indeed, a 20 year old may be more mature than a 40 year old - a lot of factors contribute to this.
Plus people have different goals in life, so they'll make their choices accordingly. Perhaps Mira valued starting a family over other things in life.
As I've already said, age is not an indicator of maturity. It definitely is dependent on life experiences and how self-aware one is.
