I have written about Vicky and Ranveer. Here you go:
Ranveer: He is a technically sound actor IMO, that is the ability to express certain emotions in a way it is needed when restrained and he doesn't sound like he is reading from the book.
He is also one of the few who has the ability to carry a whole movie on his back, not because he is a great actor who evaluates the script, but because he has that star quality and entertainment factor which makes him a attraction even when the script is weak as he has proved with Padmavat and Simmba.
But he has his weakness, firstly he isn't someone who can get the some emotions right, he has tried the broken person persona in Lootera, but IMHO he was weak in that role.He lacked the menace in Padmavat, maybe that was the character sketch, but there as Khilji he was more flamboyant than tyrant, no he was a joker as some people try to call him despite not watching the movie, but he wasn't scary either, his make up and custome may have scared people but he wasn't terrifying with his actions and act.
He has a good voice control, as seen seem with BM and Padmavat, but it isn't consistent and hence sounds squeaky at times.
.
Vicky: Vicky IMO is a most acting actor in the industry right now.I haven't seen URI and Manmaarziyaan so can't comment how well he has done their. But from the work he has done in Masan, Raman Raghav 2.0, Zubaan, Raazi and Sanju. One thing is sure, he is the most versatile actor from the younger lot, and he isn't just doing roles like ''yeah I will play a beggar, I will play a king, I will pay a criminal, I will play police, wow I am versatile'' thing.
He is actually able to change his whole personality, look, body language, voice and ways to emoting, and that is something no one in the industry does.Like he was a complete different person in Sanju as Kamli, while it is difficult to recognize him as he was so despicable in Raman Raghav 2.0.He brilliantly portrayed himself as a much younger boy in Masan, while in Raazi he was just grace personified. While in Zuban he was able to play a speaking struggling person in a very nuanced and non- dramatized manner.
And to with the fault of sounding too hippy, I haven't seen any weakness in him yet(yes YET because never say never).
Now coming to Ranbir: Ranbir: For me he is simply one of the best industry ever produced. Nepo kid, laura lausan jo bhi bakchodi karlo, but his acting talent is brilliant.
Whether playing a cunning broken man in Rajneeti, or playing an illiterate street fighter in Bombay Velvet(yes movie sucked but Ranbir didn't), or comic chichora in APKGK or goofy comic yet dramatic act in Barfi or the broken heart in Rockstar or clueless man in WUS, or the determined humiliated intern in Rocket Singh or beautifully restrained yet dead inside Ved in Tamasha or the absolutely bas***d yet charming Bunny in YJHD or the brilliant portrayal of Sanjay Dutt in Sanju, and not to forget the stellar work in JJ. He has been a technically brilliant actor who can eat up the whole screen alone without even burping. Yes he had his weakness as shown in Besharam where he failed to get the massy act well, but that had more to do with the underbaked character than Ranbir being unable to do justice, although he could have evaluated the character but these things happen, as he was more chichora than badass.
Although he needs to break free and do more roles trying to capture more areas like villain, family man, leader, action, thriller, gangster movies and so on.
If I have to rank them: It will be Vicky first by few margins, because after few more viewing of his work seriously he is bloody good in his range and ability to change himself for the roles.
Ranbir second, only because he hasn't been as sensational as Vicky when it comes to character work. But above Ranveer because unlike Ranveer Ranbir never gets difficult emotions to portray like loneliness, heart break, anger and crying better, plus he has Barfi obviously. Than in third number, Ranveer, he is a good actor, but he feels like SRK to me. Yes he goes OTT, but when he wants he is also very good. But not as good as the above two.
That is my opinion, and not fact, nor I am saying my opinion is the best, so please don't take digs at me and don't get offended because I am not a PC. Thanks.
