I think what AB Snr did not expect was for the man to turn to his wife and corroborate his answers. Jaya's answers sound artificial and mocking to me. I think it stung AB and so thats why the outburst.

Whatever. Everyone with half a brain knows his truth anyways.

That rice vs roti bit sounds like Jaya taunting her husband to me. Roti being the staple, the wife...rice being the novelty, the affair...Jaya asking him to try some rice even after his outburst... 😆
