Like in Alok Nath's case, there were more than few who had similar take on him! ... They called him out .. it wasn't just one person .. same was the case with "Sajid"! ... Even Sushant has on and off blinds on him ... while for Hirani, this is the first time I am hearing anything negative about him!

As for your example of shouting in the bus on being harassed is different than woman accusing someone as big as "Hirani" ... You don't have any reason to target the said person while in this case there may be many who would like to target him! ..

Again, not taking any "side"... Just trying to put random ramblings together to make sense out of it! ..

As for some of the claims on this thread like "He made Sanju so he's a sexual harasser or that he had few misogynistic jokes so he's one" really makes a mockery of such serious issue! ... If we were to go by that logic, so many will come under the radar since every other BW movie has misogynistic touch to it! .. Even Ekta and othes have made movies on criminals like Gawood and others .. white washing their crimes! ..

Change the scenario and make it my boss in his office. I would come out and say it. Would people turn a blind eye to me. Thats the entire gist of the MeToo movement. To finally be able to say it. Hmm, many women coming out makes the case stronger but that doesn't invalidate this one.

And funny you mentioned Ekta cause there's been rumors for years of her having a legit casting couch. But ofcourse making a movie doesn't implicate you suddenly. But back when Ranbir was asked about the casting couch question, Hirani and Vidhu had laughed. Idk but that has always stayed with me. They took it as a joke. That should atleast tell you something.

I actually agree with this. I mean so many celebrities have said/done problematic stuff and shown problematic scenes in their films. Going by this logic, everyone is a predator. No wonder Salman is so particular about not doing grey/negative characters on screen 😆

Sad..he's my favorite director! Munnabhai series and 3 Idiots are my favorite films ever!

I would not jump to conclusions without evidence...it's not okay to call him a predator just on an accusation..

Its such a shame when an honest, talented, humble & innocent man is being framed by some fraud woman for money & attention.. & the people refuses to hear or believe Rajkumar Hirani's side of the story just because he's man while blindly believing the fraud woman.

I mean tomorrow, any random woman will come with a metoo story & stamp it on any innocent man ruining his hard earned repulation & career & that too without any evidence.. & people will believe it blindly? WOW! What has happened to people's intelligence? Being a woman myself, i'm stunned & ashamed. Yikes.

Being a woman myself, I'm stunned and ashamed at your assumption that Hirani is innocent and calling the woman a fraud hungry for attention and money.

Exactly the point I was making ... Ekta and many others have had such "rumors" "blinds" against them ... but with Hirani, hardly one, at least I am not aware of it! ... That's why it makes it puzzling ... So for me it's still hard to digest .. will wait for more to unwrap! ..

Again not sure of that IV and why they "laughed" ... I am missing the "context" .. It doesn't give me much to say "he laughed" so that is against him when many have given such brushed off reactions when it comes to "casting couch"!

When you make a complain against your Boss ... HR gets involved and appropriate investigation takes place without implicating anyone! ... So I'll wait in this case!

In my opinion, both aspects of this thread makes no sense whatsoever

So true! .. I wish people stop getting carried away with extreme "judgements" for either end ... I can't stop anyone Ofc .. but let's not malign anyone when it comes to issues like these which have been kept under the wraps for so long especially the "woman" in question ... how exactly is she getting "attention" with this (unless she has some other "motive"?!) .. like what is she getting out of it than "doubts and constant questions"! ... Both sides have it difficult ... but the side that is guilty needs to face the consequences regardless of anything!

Sexual harassment and assault cases rarely have tangible proof. You just have to look at circumstantial evidence and patterns of behavior in each case.

Usually when one victim comes out other victims will get the courage to come forward as well. So at this point I wouldn't be surprised if within the next few months more women come and speak against Hirani.

Huffington Post wouldn't have published this without doing their due diligence. One of the big things for me in this article was that the paper talked to three friends of the victim and they confirmed that she had shared this with them at different times.

Hirani laughing at casting couch conversations doesn't prove guilt in of itself. But if he has a pattern of undermining women's issues then it goes to his character and mindset regarding women. I don't know about India but here in the U.S. these things can definitely tilt the jury one way or the other.

Some women do let go of cases and take the hush money because they aren't well advised or/and because they feel they'll be the one who would be shamed if they go ahead and sue.
It doesn't make them any less victims. It's the system who can't be trusted which is flawed.
When a victim will be able to go at the police without facing judgement, go at court without being shamed and shunned and tell her story then some people might be stopped in their predatory ways.

Don't be. Cause i'm not a fake feminist to accuse someone of sexual harassment just because he's a man without any evidence.. or blindly believe a woman just because she's a woman.

Not every man is a harasser, or neither every woman is a victim.
