I think Salman and Aishwarya's relationship was toxic. I think he also cheated on her. I think was obsessed with her and didn't give her the space she needed. He was popping up at places she worked at and puting her in very uncomfortable positions. I think her leaving him was best for both of them at the end of the day.

Having said that, I can't blame anyone for doubting that he physically abused her. No other girlfriend has made these accusations - there may have been rumours by the press but the women themselves have denied them. Also every other ex-girlfriend shares a fantastic relationship with him. And maybe the rest of the Bachchan family might not care for Aishwarya but I cannot imagine any husband being cordial with a man who beat up his wife.

Because he was never obsessed with anyone like he was with her. And the exes you mentioned leech off him financially so why would they come out against him. But his violence is well known. He literally hit Somi Ali with a glass bottle.

Look at this too lol. From the man himself. Tons of gems like this from Salman.

Khan frequently discusses incidents like this with the press, adding to his own legend of a conservative, passionate lover. Describing a night from November 2001, when Khan had shown up outside Rai's door in a drunken fugue, banging on the door for hours, screaming to be let in, threatening to jump off the building until her father was forced to file a police complaint against the actor, he said:

"It (the blouse) didn't fit properly, and would have taken away from the beauty of the scene. Eat what you like, and wear what others like. It is as simple as that.

Would you look at that. There was a police complaint indeed 😆 Sonam supports this man then who threatens her life and breaks a glass bottle on his girlfriend's head and attack another for not wearing what he wants. Wow.

Since Salman is being discussed I have to say this. I did not know that Aish and Salman issue was this serious. I wasn't into following celebs until I started following RS after Lootera.

After Salman caused that accident, ran away and did everything to escape punishment and finally did get away scot free cuz of his connections, I lost all respect for him. I have not watched a single film of his in the theatres after that intentionally as I cannot support such a man. And now I know its not just Aish. He has other incidents. I realize now I should have stopped watching his films even more earlier.

Sonam might want to put her words into actions and stop supporting Salman. Then she can talk about this issue.

The guy is a babitual abuser.

his physical abuse of Aishwarya was known to all . She even came to an award show with bruised eye or face. she wore glasses to cover it up. I remember that and her press conference as well.

I cannot forget how he called up Vivek Oberoi almost 43 times in the middle of the night , harassing him and when he went to the public against him. He used all his power to shun him out of his movies

That time, his pals, SRK, Farah Khan, and other common friends all were part of it.

As someone said in the #metoo thread against Hirani, that people in the circle support the abuser, directly or indirectly and that's why it never comes out.

Bollywood celebs don't take a stand cos its convenient. 8 out of 10 folks have skeletons in their own closet and they'd rather not jeopardize their careers by speaking out. Of course if someone gets outed and there is outrage, its important to take a stand (even though they probably knew about it all along) just to safeguard their image 😆

I'm baffled with the persons on this thread. They are basically saying that a celeb shouldn't support but the same people will cry and bawl when celebs won't speak up on certain issues.
