Simmba Has A Huge Sunday

Simbaa has had a huge Sunday with collections set to be around 31 crore nett or maybe even a little more. The weekend business will be around 76 crore nett. Gujarat has recorded crazy numbers on Sunday with collections set to be 4 crore nett. Gujarat and East Punjab are similar sized markets and the collections will be 4 crore nett and 2.50 crore nett respectively on Sunday which shows how big Gujarat is on Sunday.

The places which recorded lower collections on day one are also recording very good numbers on Sunday though Mumbai continues to lead with collections set to be around 13 crore nett. Bihar is the slight disappointment as it is a single screen circuit so should be better but maybe because of the film has a Maharashtra feel it has affected collections there.

The film should hold up strongly over Monday and Tuesday with Wednesday being the crucial day as ticket rates will come down and the holiday period will be over.

Watched the movie. It was good movie. Ranveer was great in it. I liked the first half but enjoyed the second half more because of the intensity Ranveer brought when he became serious. I don't know much about themasala genre in hindi movies aside from chennai express, that i enjoyed but I watched few telugu movies that are mostly masala and Simmba comes close to them in terms of enjoyment and comedy.

Film #Simmba is having very good advance booking for Monday. Means film will do approx 15Cr business. Again on Tuesday 30Cr business confirm. Means film will do approx 125Cr in week1 only. Therefore it's a blockbuster! Congrats to @karanjohar #Rohit @RanveerOfficial and @SonuSood

Salute to producers @RelianceEnt @karanjohar and #RohitShetty for giving all India circuit collections officially. Means they have nothing to hide. Hope Karan will give collections of his up coming films also in the same way.

Finally #Simmba comes into its own. After a 21 cr Friday and 23.5 cr Saturday there was a huge jump on Sunday with 31.5 cr collections taking the total to 76 cr in 3 days. The film will hit 100 cr mark on New Year day and might near the breakeven point by first week. SUPER HIT!

Seems Gujarat public was hungry to watch a Ranveer movie so much that it is taking revenge of not being able to watch Ranveer and SLB's Padmavaat by watching #Simmba twice a day

Just watched the movie
- First half was entertaining
- Second half couldve been better
- It looked poorly shot in some scenes and was shaky.
- Ajays entry got the crowd going
- RS was at his best and full on entertaining but he looked really bad due to the weight gain he wasnt fit like how AD looked.
- Wish Sara's role was longer
- I'm rooting for Tiger as the next cop, Akshay will be boring.

I actually liked that they raised the topic and even directly referred to Nirbhaya's case...In the context in which its been used, it didn't feel neither inappropriate nor insensitive...I really liked the way they dealt with the it...Of course the case itself, I felt they could've dealt with it in a much better manner...But that if I discuss here, it will be a spoiler! :)
