That theory only works if Indian cinema wasn't practically a hundred years old. Stars have come before them and fallen and stars that come after them too shall fall. By your opinion Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Rekha, Asha Parekh etc were never stars either because they failed in the end.

It started the way you said. Khans were always promoted as a trio and so there was 3x promotion with them always plugging each others names. And then like you said about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt promoted by the Akhtars and Azmis,... I've read that The Bachchan man himself used to tag them as his successors back when they were nobodies.

Also Bachan man used to pretend to be psychic, a modern day Nostradamus if you please...I mean even in my living times I've heard his version of his premonitions about Smita Patil. 😆

SO there you have it. Nostradamus Bachan man predicted Khans would rule after him when they were nobodies.

And then with some good films working and marketing blitzkreig and the whole fake it till you make it.

That's the anatomy of a bolly star.

Lol no. Even their worst films have done so well at the box office. If that's made up stardom then I guess I'm dumb.

3 of them clubbing themselves together has helped each at different times.

Like when Salman wasn't doing well -- Khan trio khan trio kept him floating.

When Amir wasn't doing good movies -- Khans khans.. kept him in the group of successful actors.

And this decade, SRK is doing bokwaas movies yet riding on success of other 2.

So trio club has been beneficial. But stardom is not made up. They are genuinely loved.

None of them have been consistently successful for 25 years. At any given time, at least one is not doing well.

Yes. The whole world is an illusion. Which is why we oscillate from 'After Khans, superstardom will end' to 'Khans stardom is made up' every few months 😆

It looks like barely anyone read the topic. I wasn't saying that at one point they weren't superstars... I'm saying their stardom has faded. They can't pull in the number so they hike their prices to compensate for their loss of Stardom. TOH failed. MISERABLY. If Aamir was a TRUE superstar... it would have not failed as miserably as it did. This is the same case with Zero and Tubelight. I keep hearing how bad these movies were, but that means even if their movies are bad it should compensate for their stardom.
