Its not staged. That would be too too cheesy. and neither Sara nor Karthik nor Ranveer need it.

The way Kartik immediately withdrew and excused himself after the mandatory polite exchange, he was not interested in a media performance. some function. but both were cute as buttons. Sara with her sweet embarassed smile and Kartik with his hai, main kaha phas gaya' smile. he was so courteous to her too.

the lady in the background is still announcing amidst the melee.
