#Zero witnessed growth on Day 5 [#Christmas]... Day 6 [Wed] and Day 7 [Thu] biz crucial... Fri 20.14 cr, Sat 18.22 cr, Sun 20.71 cr, Mon 9.50 cr, Tue 12.75 cr. Total: 81.32 cr. India biz.

Zero Fifth Day Business
Wednesday 26 December 2018 12.15 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Zero showed growth of 25% on the national holiday for Christmas Day to collect 11.75 crore nett apprx. the growth was limited for a national holiday but generally the growth is low this Xmas as films being screened on lesser screens like KGF (Hindi) and Kedarnath also went up only 40% and 35% respectively. Much of the growth for Christmas seemed to baked into the Monday figures for all films.

The total for Zero is around 76 crore nett in five days and these are low figures for five days with a national holiday for a big film. The film is not going anywhere with the only hope now being collections not coming down heavily on Wednesday which will at least mean some sort of run for into the New Year at the box office. If the film drops badly on Wednesday then it will hardly collect over the second weekend.

The chances to sustain to a certain extent are mainly in Delhi / UP, East Punjab and Bihar especially UP and Bihar where all cities are sustaining pretty well with fair collections. The scenario is bleak in Mumbai, Gujarat and South. The first five day figures for Zero are as follows.

Friday - 19,35,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 17,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 18,25,00,000 apprx

Monday - 9,50,00,000 apprx

Tuesday - 11,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 75,85,00,000 apprx

People are entitled to their opinion. You have your own perspective regarding this film and that's completely okay. But I feel people (on here especially) have been irritated by the tendency of SRK fans to blame viewers consistently for his failures. People have been claiming his blah movies to be niche masterpieces for a while now... I don't think anyone but SRK fans believe it at this point! Sometimes a bad film is just a bad film... Same was said after Fan, JHMS and so on but history hasn't been kind to these films either.

In a year when people could appreciate actual niche films like Andhadhun, Stree and so on.. they couldn't appreciate Zero? Or maybe, just maybe, it was not a good enough film that appealed to viewers? Have SRK fans ever thought about it? Anyway, as I said, you're entitled to your opinion and it's perfectly valid. Films are primarily personal experiences and I am glad you enjoyed it! But people are also allowed to find flaws in the argument.

Seriously when will SRK get over this chichorapan on screen? I remember seeing a trailer or song of JHMS where he was carassing some girl's belly button? When will these superstars grow up, act their age and do more respectful work? Launde lapde ke din gaye uncle!

This is an ALR thing. Think of how dhanush's character stalks sonam or how madhavan pursues kangana despite her rejecting him. Manu even kisses a sleeping Tanu. ALR's men have no boundaries and do not understand no

I get it-people cant let go of the nostalgia and are finding any ways to cling to the idea of Shahrukh kHan.
I suggest quitting BW altogether. Watch Animal Planet or something. It's a lot more serene and productive. 😆

Watched Zero yesterday afternoon show and it was in a multiplex in a metro. Occupancy registered was around 15% I think
I maybe the only person in the world who actually found first half unbearable barring Mere Naam tu..was almost about to leave the theatre at interval, and the second half a much better and a decent attempt at trying to find some bearings for the larger than lovestory.

Anand Rai movies have always been like this, the second half has always been diametrically different from the first..and I feel Zero followed the same trajectory as Ranjhanna..a random nobody somehow ending up as a reluctant hero in political landscape/ space mission, whereas in both cases he had nothing to do with it..and ended up there only for sake of his obsession with a woman

Many have criticized the direction, editing etc..I think it was the acting of main leads that let this movie down..SRK was hamming like no tomorrow and was absolutely cringeworthy in most scenes..I thought this movie will be a blockbuster for SRK, but frankly I feel bad saying this that I couldnt bear him..

so as Anushka🤢🤢🤢 she annoyed me so much with her lousy attempt here in a role which required masterful skills..she was plain amateurish, inconsistent and pathetic...

Katrina was fine, because she seems to have poured her real life emotions out frankly, but I felt like Babita's track was not even required somehow😕

The cameos were lame and not needed..Zeeshan Ayub was not needed..so many things were just so extraaa

whats cost this movie the most is SRK's casting I feel..

Liked the VFX and the absolutely beautiful presentation of Mere Naam tu..and the only part I connected with was actually the whole Mission on space thing..where Babuaa actually goes all out to prove his love..it was larger than life in the literal sense of the word lol..also Maddy even in that funny hairstyle was still a treat to eyes😳😆

ALR and Himanshu Sharma too since he is the writer. That's always the worst part of their writing which otherwise I find really good until Zero happened.

The going to Mars portion was included probably to cash in on patriotic sentiment with the assumption that it will attract more audience who will be up for anything to do with Bharat making waves but even that backfired

I didn't want to write about 'masterpieces' but about perception that can either change or be different. Only because someone does not like a certain movie doesn't mean that another person can very well like it.
Personally I would never go with critics or other people's opinion if initially I have an interest for something. They can write or say whathever their perception had been (honestly or fake), it's just a perception I may compare to my own or if I would leave to them without making it my own without a proper experience.
