To which Mumbai police responded

For us, No Mumbaikar is regular' they are all special'! And we are equally concerned about them all. Glad to know your safety wasn't rigged'. @sonamakapoor https://t.co/PyYbB23OZs

Oh look, we are doing our jobs so well that even celebrities get reprimanded whereas reality can be something else ...
Have they ever done this to non-celebrity people committing offences and exposing themselves on social media ?

Mumbai police twitter handle is very active and responds to all concerns by the citizens very well. Not like they are only concerned about Celebs irresponsible behaviour.

The police should have verified the facts before tweeting about it in the first place. Though the intention was good on their part the name-calling of Dalquer was uncalled for. Now that it was clarified they must take down the tweet.

And Sonam...really! "Regular folks" ? Such classism much!!
Doesn't she know from her past experiences how the use of a wrong word in a particular context can cause the damage? If she'd used 'every citizen' in place of 'regular' she could've avoided the backlash. The Mumbai police gave a fitting response there.

Mumbai police not only replied to my tweet about this site but also registered my complaint.
They are extremely active and nice.

Sonam thinks barring her and her family everyone is from "Pind". Empty vessels definitely make the loudest noise.
