Digital India is booming. The digital platforms are booming too, there are now more platforms but very little content to go on them but that's a conversation for another time. The digital boom was actually supposed to be a boon for the industry folks as it opened another avenue for them to recover their cost on the movies. So it comes are no surprise that some of these platforms are pushing the envelopes in terms of the monies they're offering to the producers for their unreleased movies. Take the case for these two major movies at two very well reputed production houses of the industry. The movies have been completed for some time now but the makers aren't finalising the release date for both the movies for the longest times. The amount of movies that these production houses turn around every year is massive so when they're not keen on locking a date for one of their project it does raise some eyebrows. Now our highly placed sources are revealing that both the banners who have a personal deal with two separate streaming service providers are in the final leg of talks with the companies to release the movie on straight to net. Both the movies have proper A-list star cast and well reputed directors as well. Is this going to be the new trend with movies which are somewhat substandard, only time will tell.
