Yes darkness is what's called the void, the unknown. We're too attached to the known as it's familiar + safe. The unknown is seen as unsafe so to dive into it requires a lot of courage + trust as you'll be literally abandoning yourself for the unknown. Letting go of the finite you which is very limited for the infinite 😛

Thanks but there are many more like anthony de mello, he was really good. Ramana Maharshi made it direct but he also gave silent transmissions. Osho also gave transmissions. Sadhguru doesnt but if you travel with him for 2 weeks to kailash for just 24,000 dollars then he just might 😆

What I realized and what all masters say that it needs to be your own knowledge otherwise it's all hearsay and just quoting something you heard from somewhere so in that sense you question the truth of everything specially the truth of who you're.

I am curious on your take on Vipassana ..I was quite disappointed with IE. Being a great admirer of Sadhguru I tried. Most of his gyaan giving is very expensive 😕 😆

He wants to collect followers, minions so they can do his work that's why his programs are expensive but at the ashram it's free if you volunteer. After the program and in his monthly satsangs he'll insist you volunteer, give back and give back to whom? His organization. Volunteers act like it's the best thing out there and i see most of them as lost with no inclination for truth or liberation. They just follow him blindly. I see this gives them purpose, solace that they' helping others but if I want to volunteer or help out then there are better organizations for that.

This is cult like because you're putting sadhguru on pedestal. even though he very cleverly says don't believe me people still do. More you expose yourself to it you can't help but believe.

I asked some questions to the teachers who have been volunteering for years and they had no answers.

People generally are also not familiar with hypnosis but I'm so I caught him when he very cleverly slide it in. It surpasses your conscious mind and gets into your subconscious and soon enough it alters your behavior and then you rationalize that you decided to do this but in reality it was put as a suggestion so he does this kind of stuff.

I listened to many hours of his teachings and even the exclusive stuff but I made sure to be as aware as possible and not believe a word he says at the same time I wasn't judging it either otherwise this whole thing turns into confirmation bias

His main agenda is to show how great India is. His main business is selling yantras, trips to kailash.

He very cleverly uses some kind of story to convince you to wear rudraksh, not have sex, use vibhuti, buy his linga, sleep this way, act this way etc so it's like any other religion with set of rules and also eat only this and not that.

only difference is he tries to convince you it's not good for you while religion tells you it's wrong but in both cases results are the same you end up not doing it because...

says you should be joyful by your own nature but then goes around and sets 100 different rules of dos and donts so you can be so called happy by your own nature 😆

Teachings are taken from here and there and mashed up.

his way is kriya yoga and that too not genuine kriya yoga and he personally is far far away from enlightenment so his presence won't help much either and blindly following his teachings would stray you from truth.

Anyways I'm done with sadhguru calls himself sadhguru but in reality he's just jaggu vasudev

He once told a story how his mother kissed his feet as she must have realized that I'm a master
😆 the arrogance

You can do 10 day vipassana retreat, it's all over the world and for free. It's not easy so buckle up.

I did two of them. It's good but in short it's observing body sensations and not reacting to them meaning not liking it or disliking it. no aversion to the painful sensations and no attachment/craving the ones that feel good.

In short you allow what is happening inside you but it doesn't address what's going on in your head.

Lester levenson a realized being imo came up with this "allowing everything and releasing it he later developed sedona method, do check that out.

so what he did was allow everything to be as it is without interfering and then simply dropping it. like a pen.

so thoughts are going through your head but you don't engage with them. It demands your attention but you simply see it for what it is a thought and it passes then another comes but if you grasp at it then you're caught same way if you don't like a thought and it disturbs you then again you're caught.

This goes for emotions and feelings too. You're feeling angry, you allow the anger to be there, next you take away the labels and just see each emotion as sensations. They're not good or bad so the important thing is to be non judgmental about it non partial. Not approving or disapproving, no attitude of this shouldn't be happening.

Fact is it is happening so you accept it or better yet you see it's already accepted. It's only you who interferes and resist it which makes it worse. Ego says things should happen my way and if they don't I'll throw a tantrum and that will stop whats happening but it doesn't only makes it worse

he got enlightened with this simple technique but it's not easy to do at all as you'll resist so it'll take practice and clarity to see what it's doing then you simply drop or it's just dropped. You see the futility of resistance, of grasping.

another thing you can do is cancel time. Just observe through out the day you're either in past or future and want to get to the next moment. This moment is seen as a means to get to the next moment which never comes as it doesn't exist. When the next moment comes it's again this moment and attention is again on the next moment, does this make sense?

Ego lives in time. death of time is death of ego. I recommend to read or better listen to power of now

Again it's easier said than done as there's a lot of momentum + ego doesn't like to die as it's seen as your own death so even when you get rid of one identity it builds another one, it's a shape shifter.

After my awakening which didn't last long i soon developed a spiritual identity. Now I was this spiritual guy 😆 but soon I realized what had happened.

Here's the book power of now

I also highly recommend to look into lester. Doctors told him he had only few months to live and in those few months he released everything. He was like I'm dying anyway so let's get rid of all this rubbish. He started with getting into unconditional love so whatever ill feelings he had towards anyone or anything. He would work on it until all he could feel is love like his wife running away with his best friend so he released all the hate, all the anger towards them and came to a point of unconditional love for them. He did this with everything then he dived into Ramana Maharshi teachings of inquiry and later as I said developed sedona method

He lived for another 50yrs or so while doctors told him he only had few months 😆

Also check out anthony de mello. don't be put off by his background, he was a priest but a realized being

Check out these talks and do the exercises

Ps: check out the movie revolver. It shows how ego operates, a beautiful movie

I love this scene

Not yet but I most likely will. With these texts we don't know how much it's toyed with as it's 5000yrs old. Krishna was a realized being but what happened in mahabharat? the upanishads, sutras all are very useful and again pointing to the one reality.

It's best to listen to them or read but we can't do that with krishna or buddha so then it becomes hearsay and gets diluted imo

Nigahein: imtiaz ali kinda showed how we're scared of the void and of the unknown in this song. She would rather go back to her kidnapper than face "what's out there "

Ps:and it's also dark. The known, the manifest world is not even 1% of what's out there and I don't mean other planets I mean beyond manifested universe, it's all dark as it's the unmanifest

Yes it is. I dont know what to believe. Like is there life on other planets, not the ones in our solar system, but the gazillions others. And how many worlds beyond those which may be on some other plane.
And if moksha is a long restful eternal sleep or is it just a step up to another level.
And what can lie beyond one cannot comprehend. If one were to have everything, then anyone would want riches, wisdom, health, beauty, eternal youth probably to be loved and appreciated by all others. But in any world or dimension or heaven, if everyone had everything, then there would be no meaning, right. if everyone had everything who would be there to appreciate the other and then strive for what? One wouldnt even have family because everyone wants to be a child doted upon by their parents but no one will want to have the thankless job of being parents.
What lies ahead..
