It will be for the second time in a row when Akshay will come face to face with John Abraham at the box-office on Independence Day as the latter's Batla House, too, is scheduled to release on the same day. Made in China, headlined by Rajkummar Rao, is another film that is coming out on Independence Day 2019.
Almost at the same time when Akshay announced the release date of Mission Mangal, filmmaker Karan Johar declared that his mega production, the Ayan Mukerji-directed Brahmastra had been moved to Christmas 2019. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles, was earlier slated to release on August 15, 2019.
