You answered your own question in a way. Aamir preaches and preaches and preaches and does nothing else. He behaves like he's superior than the rest of the mortals. And therefore handing a reality check to a person like that is carthatic in a way. The fact that he's only as good as his scripts and has no star power of his own is a good reality check.

I particularly don't care about Aamir. His flops and successes don't affect me. But I've had this feeling for Salman. Growing up in a nation that glorified someone who casually talks about being a rape victim even after nirbhaya, is a known women abuser, and took 6 lives because he was too rich to be sober and seeing that nation coming out on the streets to protest his arrest and still glorifying him, when they wont do the same for any woman, his failure makes me happy. Its a sign times are changing. He might have future successes but its good to know he knows hes been rejected and he cant do whatever he wants.

Keeping all that aside, recent failures of khans along with roaring success of small movies is a good sign that the Indian audience is finally moving forward to good content. The delusional lot is slowly dying out.

They were sucessfull during Dhoom 3. But this is a tight slap on their faces.

@Bold: I doubt you can say that for Aamir...He has always taken utmost care of what he comes up with...Yes his movie may have faltered this time, but the movie had all the makings of an epic to begin with- and its the execution that failed! if you watch the movie you will know that nowhere did he take audience for granted...The movie is extremely underwhelming but not trashy!
