I think ppl always counted him as a good actor.
Plus his singing and his charms were always visible.

So no, he just needed hits. He was never underrated.

That man has beaten all starkids and won all the major awards in 2012.

He was never really underrated as he got the Best Debut award and Best Song award for his very first film, also he had sleeper hits like VD, DLKH, both films also got National Awards.
Hes always done those bold roles in out of the box movies and always got critical appreciation and several were commercial success.
But yes, inspite of his sleeper hits, he wasnt exactly hyped as the next big thing, but now with 2 movies running successfully at the same time, he should get his due recognition.

I have noticed we almost like same people. Even we dislike same people😆
And was bewakofiyan good, should I give it a try. I didn't watch it because of sonam.

Bevakoofiyaan is a decent watch with Rishi & Ayushmaan back n forth being the highlight.

@Bold - not sure anymore😆 just day before yesterday I was praising him n calling him underrated but last night Badhai Ho dekhi, nd very sure ye pretty soon overrated hone wala hai 😆
What an utter garbage of a movie itne excitement se sare cousins ko drag kar ke le gayi & sir dard ho gaya sab ka & they maaroed taane at me wo alag😆

Ayushman & Sanya were pretty much like a 2nd fiddle to older couple, quite a few uncomfortable scenes, full on lecturebaazi, Ayushman had a very half baked role which he couldn't elevate & he mumbled alot in this one, I just cant seem to stop ranting about this shitty film coz still mourning the loss of my 2000 bucks😆

Ayushmann was underrated in the past, but not anymore. Currently he's getting his due as an actor. He is mainly lauded for his choice of films, film makers and roles. His USP is he is unconventional so far and constantly reinventing himself. Nice to see a hardworking outsider breaks away from regular stereotypical choices and successfully managed to make a mark in this insulated industry.

Really was it not that good.I was thinking to go for this movie as I couldn't go for andhadhun. Also in a lot of reviews it was mentioned that the parents are actually the lead.
And I did watch bevakoofiyan last night after everyone here was praising and I liked it was a good watch😆

He is definitely underrated as an actor.
I think he's a very good actor and singer, but I love his offscreen personality. He genuinely seems like a great guy.

Of course he is, he is supremely talented. He can act, sing and also is very good looking. If he had any affiliation with Bollywood people, he would have been hailed as Al Pacino or Robert Dinero !

no he is not. if he was underrated he wouldn't be getting such good roles to play. he is a good actor, and and hardly disappoints.
and I am happy the producers and directors are giving him his dues.
more please.
